• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 20 EX Ever. Silver, 24 SX X Line Jungle Green
I was planning on getting a FWD SX silver after the excitement dies down/supply goes up as I'm not willing to pay MSRP or more! but our situation has changed and now we need to get another vehicle in less than a month. We'd considered EX but I really like the idea of the blind view monitor, surround monitor, and extra sunroof. The other differences would be nice but those are my main interests between the two.

Given the short supply causing dealers around here to not want deal, I'm wondering what vehicles other forum members might suggest as being equivalent in features, size, and price. We need the third row, want to keep as much cargo as possible with 3rd row up, and want pretty much all the tech. I'm not looking for a minivan, ready for a change after driving them for 25 years, and not considering a Honda Pilot. We need to stay at 40K or below for cost. Would love any suggestions! Even a suggestion for websites that say this model and trim is equivalent to this other model and trim would be helpful. TIA!

I would highly suggest taking a look at the Subaru Ascent. It has been around long enough so that there is inventory on the lots and dealers should be below MSRP. They are fairly similar in size. They are quiet in the cabin, ride smooth and have decent power with their 4 cyl turbo. They have a great crash rating and some decent tech and wonderful safety features. I feel that in this segment the Ascent and Telluride are the most similar, especially for what you get for the price.

You can’t get everything you want and stay under 40k.

I would suggest a Toyota 4Runner as their safety features come standard on all trim levels, like Honda. It is smaller in size, but outside of Pilot, Atlas and Traverse. Nothing else compares but all of those are over 40. For what you want.

Thank you all. I've been checking the Ascent and 4Runners online and we are going to try to check them out in person this weekend. I have a feeling I'm going to still want the Telluride even if we have to get an EX. It's not very easy to compare vehicles with the details varying so much between the models alone, much less the different trim levels. I'm not one to make a decision quickly and like to research all options. Putting a time limit on it makes it that much more difficult.

I appreciate your suggestions!

Subaru ascent. The 4runner is mostly an off road vehicle. Anything that requires pavement, it is very uncomfortable to drive.

Just a advice that extra sunroof (dual sunroof) is only on SX and not other trims. Ex is just one sunroof

I know. :( I'm in Florida and use my sunroof all the time. I know the second one doesn't open but I love the sun and love how that extra big window gives the open sunny atmosphere in the whole car while still being able to enjoy the safety of a full roof and comfort of air conditioning.

Go to a high volume Dodge dealer and look at a 3 row Durango...They are always willing to deal on them and prob can meet your needs, especially if any leftover 2018’s left!

My parents bought a 18 Traverse and they love it...so far. It is loaded and the got a good deal at 34k i believe. It is one roomie mofo.
