Just found this thread; heres hoping. Downloading the "re-release" now. No FM, same as all of you - 2021 Telluride w standard Gen5W head, October update applied last year...
How was you able to update it if the display screen won’t come on ?Update: I received a confirmation from Kia Support that this update did in fact contain the fix for the radio issue.
From Kia Support - "We have been told this update should resolve the issue by the manufacturers software development team. Please try updating the vehicle with the new software and let us know if it resolves the issue. Thank you for your patience in this matter."
I did the update in the fall right when it came out too. It worked fine for a few months, but then the radio stopped working as described above. The newest version of the update that came out in the last week or so fixed it (for now anyway). If this one stays stable and keeps working, I’ll either not be doing updates in the future or waiting a lot longer for Kia to work out the bugs.
The navigation system updates are consumer-facing updates and can be performed at home as long as you have a PC or Mac with sufficient disk space (and a 64 GB USB stick for installation in the car). Most dealers won’t do them or will charge for their time.Do I have to go to the dealership to have it updated? Or how do I update it mysefl?
I should add - it takes a little over an hour for the download to your car. This can be performed with the engine running or off - your choice.Do I have to go to the dealership to have it updated? Or how do I update it mysefl?
