Hi Gang:
My lady and I went "just to look" (yeah, right!) at the selections of Tellurides and Palisade at ALM Kia South dealership in Union City, GA (just southwest of Atlanta); came out with papers signed to take delivery end of the week when I've gotten the cash together and they've installed a hitch and 7-pin harness on the white 2023 Telluride EX. Being Sunday, I couldn't find out if the parts to do the tow stuff were in stock. Anyone know if these items are still in short supply? We plan on towing a 2019 Forest River 16BH travel trailer (3,000 lbs) for weekend jaunts in the area.
We made this purchase with the intent of compacting our vehicle fleet of a Sportage and a Tundra into a single vehicle that will do it all, rather than continuing to maintain both. The Tundra is a 2007, and the lady was getting a little concerned over its reliability (160,000 miles without ever an issue), its lack of safety features, and its economy. She was never comfortable driving the truck, having visibility issues due to the side mirrors blocking her forward/sideward view from the driver's seat. Now she'll be able to drive whatever the situation, rather than being stuck with my having to drive her places if we were somewhere in the truck (like when we pull the trailer to Florida for the winter). Fortunately, on the brief test drive, she loved it.
Now, to spend some time getting to know this forum's members and contents.
