  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi All,

I am a happy owner of a new Telluride 2021 in KSA.
Have tried it out in the desert on it's highway tires ( Pirellis Scorpio 245/R20/50) and it managed to get me through the low sand dunes ( lowered air pressure to 1.5 Bar) to Paris Dakar.

However for mountains and sharp rock expeditions these Pirellis are not suitable ( risk of multiple punctures too high) and I am looking for R18/60/245 Rugged All Terrain tires , but they don't seem to be on the market here in Middel East. Yet this is what Kia pre-scribes..

I can get R18/60/265 AT Chinese tires : they just fit inside the "wheel house" and can make complete turn angle, just 1/3 inch free space to the "wheel house" ( on horizontal terrain)
R17 don't fit due to the break pads.

e.g. BF Goodridge does not sell R18/60/245 or 265

Any Suggestion for proper desert (sand) / mountain (sharp rocks) tires ?
( after market sets to lift the Telluride are not available either here in ME)

I love the Telluride and its power & comfort, but needs different wheels for the rough :)

Thanks , Willem

I have no idea how to help with your tires but I love that photo you shared!

thank you,
The Telluride did not replace any car here as I just relocated into Saudia Arabia and bought a new 4x4 to discover the unknown landscapes of this vast country ....
