New update on 2022's as of 05-21

No changes as far as colors or configurations that I see... only changes we know about are listed at top of this thread..

My dealer confirmed that he had re-entered my order this morning for a 2022.

No allocations are not yet given this month but with latest information rolling in I would imagine we are right around the corner.

Looks like we are one step closer.

Got a memo today saying all unfilled 2021 Telluride Order Request(In Kdealer) are going to be deleted.

This does not effect people whose orders are in KFOS for 2021's and already have ETA's.

This indicates 2022 information is about to be released.

We as dealers will need to purify our list(call all clients that have orders pending to see if they are still wanting Telluride.)

For those that are still valid and waiting we will re-enter as 22 Tellurides and adjust if clients are wanting to change color, options, etc..

WE will enter these FIFO to keep clients who have waited the longest as priority.



This is a good sign that ball is moving in right direction.

Will update as mentioned before, as news comes.

The LX has a Gloss Black Front Grille with Chrome Trim. S, EX, and SX have the Gloss Black Front Grille with Satin Chrome Trim

The 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split-screen functionality is now standard on all trims

All trims now have standard navigation*

Dual-zone automatic temperature control and rear automatic temperature control are now standard on all trims

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve* (NSCC-C) and Highway Driving Assist* (HDA) are now standard across the board

The S trim now comes standard with a wireless phone charger*

EX Premium has High Beam Assist* (Another change after reviewing material)

Appears LX and S models will not have 2nd and 3rd row usb ports according to material(This could change on final update)

I contacted my dealership when I first heard they may be going to the 2022 line. I went to the General Sales Manager because he was in charge of ordering. I initially ordered mine on 4-26 and was told there was a 12 to 16 week wait but I was told on 5-27 that mine would be a 2022 and even though some of the orders were kicked back because of trim levels, mine being an SX Prestige with tow and Nightfal, my order hadn’t changed so I went to the top of the list. They said as soon as they can order 2022’s , mine is first in line. They didn’t tell me anything about extending my wait time because of the 2022 model year, but since my 12 to 16 weeks would be the 3rd week of July or the 2nd week of August, I’m inclined to believe it will be August before it arrives. Still no information about the factory taking my orde, a VIN number or an ETA. I don’t know if I’m still in the “hurry up & wait“ category because of the Dune Brown interior (Glacial White Pearl), or they’ll be able to do more dune brown at the factory this time around.
I would call the General Sales Manager to find out what the hold up is in submitting your order. The salesman doesn’t order the vehicles so contact the correct person.

I will make new thread with window sticker of each level to see differences.. I'm not seeing on window stickers it not being there compared to a EX model.. so looks like staying the same

Last week when I went into the dealership they said mine was their first or for the 2022 mode line and today they said they submitted the orders last weekend and mine was picked up as a 2022 SX-P with Nightfall and tow in Glacial White Pearl with the Dune Brown interior. The dealership said mine would be ordered quickly because it was top of the line and nothing really changed for the 2022 SX line. Has anyone else heard something like this from their dealership?

Stephen already said S and LX were going to stay the same. This video review of a 2022 S trim confirms they still have the USB ports in the back rows at 16:35 and 18:22.

If you check out KFOS they have been cranking out 2022 Telly's and almost all are SX's. So that seems to jive. I ordered early Apr and mine is coming in just a week ahead of you on Jun14, give or take a few days. Seems to check out.

On another note, they have been producing 22's for several weeks now so not sure what they/you mean by yours being the first.

@StephenCantrelle I placed my order with dealership on April 1. I was told it was entered in system on 4/7. Received call on June 7 saying Kia deleted orders for 2021 ( so this is in fact true? They actually deleted orders? I had asked a couple of dealerships and I was told that was not true). Then told I was getting a 2022 and my order would be reentered. Sooooo, I was told that my order was entered on June 24. Does this make sense? If my order was inputed on April 7, wouldn't it have stayed? Did someone drop the ball and possibly my order was never entered back in April? I now don't trust this dealer and me continuing to ask questions has resulted in attitude from the salesperson with giving me remarks like, "we know what we're doing". Can you provide some insight?

I clarified with my dealer today that we had submitted the order and he said he did... guess the 3-6 month timeline has just reset. Oh well! Nothing your can do at this point. Of course they fed me the line if “since you had been waiting for a 21, you’ll be near the top of the list”

Yeah we ordered a 21 and then had to keep bugging them to order us a 22 and to confirm they actually did. We have a baby on the way so kinda need a family style car!
