• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have scoured this forum and online for running boards that would be a good color match for a NFE.
As far as the form-factor goes, I haven't seen a set of running boards I like as much as the factory version. The only issue is the color matching as the wife doesn't want the brushed chrome.

I want a set of running boards to match our NFE and was considering powder coating the factory running boards to match the color of the window framing.
I'm not super savvy with powder coating. Is that even an option on that type of material and can they work around the rubber?
Is that a viable solution?

I am open to other options that might look good on the Nightfall Edition.

Canadian Kia dealers have a black oem version of the running boards. Not sure if it’s the route to go with shipping and stuff but it is an option.there’s a Canadian dealer in this site selling the fancy cargo/3rd row seat back liners that also only available in Canada so I’m sure he could get the black running boards too.

That's very helpful thank you. Any idea how I can track this Canadian dealer down? I have looked online but can't find a picture of the Black OEM's

That's very helpful thank you. Any idea how I can track this Canadian dealer down? When I look around the following image is what the black OEMs look like. Still not quite as nice as the branded versions.

Calling around powder coating places. The rubber would need to withstand 400 degrees for 35 minutes. I called a few dealerships but nobody has that information. I might have to be the first test dummy because I don’t see paint withstanding the wear and tear down there

Yes they will get a lot of abuse from all the rocks and stuff that stick to peoples shoes. But if it works it’ll be good news for some people on here that have the nightfall and want all black with the oem boards.
