• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... OK, please all you Nightfall owners, don't get on my case for this.

I test drove my first Nightfall Telluride today, third different Telluride I've had for a test drive. When I stopped mid-test off of the lot to do a detailed walk-around, something immediately caught my eye. The Nightfall treatment on the chrome is not black. It bugged the hell out of me, and I can't get it out of my head. The exterior pillars are black, the body paint is ebony black, but the Nightfall treatment was not - it was what, to my eyes, was more of a dark smoky gray.

I ordered my ebony black/nappa black SX-P just a couple of weeks ago with the Nightfall package, but now I am seriously, almost definitely, considering deleting the Nightfall. I would rather have chrome than what appeared to be a dull gray.

Am I wrong in what I saw? Was this one vehicle perhaps "off" in its Nightfall treatment? Again, without wanting to disrespect or criticize, I'd appreciate hearing from Nightfall owners if their treatment is as black as the pillars and/or ebony black body.

Thanks!

You're right, window trim is not black. There is some black trim already on the car that doesn't match it. Some parts (lower door molding, grille, bumper accents, roof rails) are black; window trim is not black. It works OK on my car (Boss Moss) but I could see how it pops on EB. Still, I think it looks fine on EB as well...PXL_20210810_201458729.webp

Maybe because it’s matte not shiny. Based on the pic above It matches with the plastics around the wheel wells and the lower body molding. Regardless, it looks good.

Nice combo and looks great on our Wolf Gray SXP NF.
