• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The title of this thread indicates the message I received all day yesterday when I used the button on the steering wheel to request directions, weather info, sports scores, all features that worked perfectly prior to yesterday. The navigation would work if address was entered manually and it would make phone calls.

Today it all works perfectly as it did before, the reason I write this is because yesterday I was very upset (first problem since I purchased vehicle) I tried calling Kia at different numbers and got put on hold never reached a human, I called my dealer and was routed to service and after a brief wait a machine told me to leave a message.

I came very close to downloading the "update" hoping that it would fix the problem after I came up empty doing an internet search for a fix, I have heard horror stories about the "update" and how it has caused other features not to work or in some cases it locked up the head unit and the dealer would not help.

In conclusion after 24 hours everything is back to normal so I hope this helps another member avoid a major headache.
