If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I posted in the good dealer thread, however, I think this deserves its own. It has been quite challenging to find a dealer in northern CA that is not looking to gouge and sell for thousands over MSRP, let alone provide any discount in addition to all applicable incentives that you qualify for. Most didn't want to give me the time of day, made up a lot of things, and they just wanted me to come in and most likely waste my time.

Even going with Costco and Sams Club many of these dealers are choosing not to honor or participate for this vehicle since they know they can make more money. I did however, find one dealer, who is honoring Costco pricing which will allow you to buy your Telluride under MSRP (at $250 over invoice) and without any hassle.

I have been working with Andy Williams at Harper Kia which is located in Eureka, CA. Website is: Kia Dealership Eureka CA Used Cars Harper Kia. While this may be a little farther than you want to travel, Andy let me know that the transaction can be completed 100% remotely, and that the car can be shipped to you if you prefer at an extra cost. For me, this not only saves travel time, but also all those potential hours of being at some dealership.

Like all dealers they are very limited on inventory, but will place an order for you with a deposit. If you are looking at the best deal right now on the Telluride, and are a Costco member, this is your spot.

Be sure to tell Andy that Jeff sent you, and hopefully your experience goes as smoothly as mine has thus far.

This is still 5-6h from Bay Area. And wouldn’t you want to buy a car from a place where you would likely service it?

Agree that the drive might be far, but if you know you what model you want, options, etc, can always get it delivered to you. That's my plan at least. Also, while it may be nice to service, or at least develop some sort of relationship with the dealer, there are a ton of Kia dealers that are closer, it's just a shame none of them are interested in making a sale for a fair price. Hey, maybe this will be my go to place down the road as well for another vehicle, especially if they treat me good. I like not having to waste time going into a dealer and can get done via email, etc.

Keep us updated of how it goes!

Thanks for sharing! Does your price include the incentives from Kia? ($1.5K financing)

For sure, glad to help and hopefully save others a lot of hassle that I had to deal with. Interacted with numerous dealers before ending up here. To clarify the price is before any incentives that you would qualify for.

Wow, that deal sounds amazing! Thanks again for sharing! I might reach out to them and see what they say.

Is there any problem having the vehicle serviced at a different Kia than where you bought it? I would think there wouldn't be - I mean, for any warranty service, any Kia dealer can do it. Does the Telluride come with some sort of dealer-provided service (eg, free oil changes for 2 years or whatever)?
I've only ever bought one car brand new, and that was in 1995, I've otherwise always bought used cars (about 2 - 3 years is the sweet spot for me). If Kia hadn't launched the Telluride this year, I was probably going to get a 2018 / 2019 Volvo XC90, but Kia packed the Telluride (in SX trim) with just as much - if not more - luxury and tech as the XC90 T6 Momentum.

I have a Costco membership, so this is really appealing, and I'm not in a hurry, so I don't mind ordering and getting the exact car I want. And I live in Oregon, so I'm guessing shipping it here wouldn't be horrifically expensive.

No there is no requirement to get it serviced from where you buy the only time that works help is if your car is going to be in the shop for longer time your dealer might give you a loaner.

Depending on the response I get from dealers around here to Costco pricing, this could actually work. I just checked, and one-way flights from Portland to Eureka are only $89, and I know from experience it's about a 7 hour drive back to where I live (just south of Portland). And in a brand new Telluride SX, probably pretty enjoyable. I should know by end of this week.

Do you have Andy's direct email or phone number? Thanks!

I emailed him a couple days ago, he's going to get back with me on Monday.

I ended up ordering an AWD SX, with moss green on espresso brown, with a few inexpensive options (carpeted mats, etc). Sounds like it will be a couple months....

From Eureka dealer?
How is the price or you’ll negotiate that later?

It's a few hundred over invoice.

I am in the same boat, and reached out to a lot of local dealers, but none of them had a good price.

I will reach out to Andy, and will mention you. Thank you.

I just had few questions - What model did you take? Did the dealer include any freebies?

Thanks again for the recommendation!

Thanks for the information .

I am looking for a SX AWD (non-prestige) Moss Green with black interior and Towing package.

I have emailed Andy. Would be great if I can get it for a few hundred $ over invoice.

Ordered the SXP AWD. Glad to help others find a fair price on these.

@JDoggery , @Kirkaiya and others who have been working with this dealer. How has your experience been so far?
Was the deposit refundable?
Appreciate any info you could share.
