If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... How much over MSRP is reasonable? The dealer quoted me $53k.

How about buying from a non-local dealer and having it shipped to Cali? Does that make sense?

Thanks in advance,

Right, my other option is to wait 6 more months ... this may be what i in fact end up doing.

I put a 1000 deposit down on my SX prestige loaded as I wanted it from dealership in GA. Got it in under 3 months with no extra charges. Had to drive from VA to pick it up but well worth it!!

Check out Elk Grove Kia. Moss green SX with brown interior. Was asking $5k over but they've been sitting on a dozen for almost 2 wks. Heard they were dropping to $2500 over.

Thanks for the pointer. They quoted me $4995 over MSRP. Will think about it.

Would you give the $5K to a dealer so that he can get even richer or would you use it on yourself for a Caribbean getaway?

It's America .. they have an in-demand product and are reaping the rewards of it. Good for them ...

As for me, will not buy until reach $2500 over MSRP, plus an acceptable value for my trade in.

In California people have ridiculous amount of money to throw away. For Kia which will lose 10k second you sign papers I wouldn’t pay a $ over.

How about under MSRP with the Costco Auto Program? We can order one today.

Check with Richmond KIA or Eureka KIA (Costco pricing not available) as both NorCal dealerships will order and sell the car as MSRP (no mark up). People are quoted as having to wait 8 to 12 weeks for their order to arrive (pending availability of parts). Good luck! Otherwise, Findlay KIA in Las Vegas sells their Tellurides at MSRP if they have what you want in stock and you want to make a road trip out of your car purchase.

That's what I did... Just waiting patiently for it to come in.

Sigh .. tried Costco but doesn't find any dealers (Northern Cali). Thanks for the suggestion !

I WAS TOLD TODAY BY A CUSTOMER...3 DEALERS IN THE UNITED STATES OFFER THE COSTCO/TELLURIDE PROGRAM. WE ARE ONE OF THREE

Valley Kia in Modesto was offering SX Prestige for $2k over MSRP. Cheaper than I was able to find on any in-stock SX Prestige models here in SoCal.

I'd love to see a Costco price work sheet from a dealer on the Telluride. Costco Auto insists that they do not have a program in place for this car anywhere in the country, nor will they for the foreseeable future. If that's incorrect, I would sure like to be able to call them on it. A northern California dealer printed out the Costco deal page for all Kias yesterday and showed it to me. TheTelluride was not on it.

By the way, I'm not saying I don't believe those that say they have gotten something called a Costco deal on the Telluride. If correct though, I would sure like to be able to take advantage of one myself. BTW, Costco Auto said their deals needed to be shown on their worksheets, whatever that might actually mean.

I was able to get Costco pricing and a Costco worksheet for the Telluride, but I'm not sure it is available in all geographic areas in the US. Looks like Northern California does not have any dealerships that offer the pricing for the Telluride (just tried online with a 94118 area code for SF). But in the Midwest, there is one participating Kia dealership in the western Chicago suburbs, and many people on this forum recommend Kia of Muncie in Indiana for Costco pricing (and then getting the Telluride shipped from IN).
