• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello everyone I'm trying to replace my oil filter housing, had a leak and it's only thing I can see that would be the cause. Has anyone replaced theirs and if so was the job reasonable.

Are you sure it's damaged? Did you do an oil change yourself? This is a terrible design, one of the many things that can go wrong is the O-ring is not in the right spot when you replace the cap, or it's not tightened enough.

My last oil change, I didn't run it up nearly enough because it reached required torque way too early, and I dumped out all my oil on the garage floor. Have to make sure the filter pops onto the stem, then put the cap on and tighten until the weephole is flush with the housing. You may get a drop or two after that but it shouldn't leak again.

It's a pretty steady stream when it's in park and idling

Welcome. This topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the main Telluride forum...
