Order to delivery time

Ordered a Gravity Grey SX AWD with Prestige package and Grey Nappa Leather interior yesterday, 2/8. Was told it would be 3-4 months for delivery of vehicle. Is that about what other people are experiencing? Super excited, going to be a long wait.

That is what I bought for my wife. It is beautiful. The light color interior makes you feel like you are in a luxury vehicle. We originally went to a dealership in town and place an order but after waiting 6 months I found one up in the bay area and paid extra to have it. No regrets. If I can go back in time I would have found a KIA dealership that turned over a lot of vehicles because from what I have learned on this forum is the larger the dealership the faster the build order is made. The dealership I ordered from had maybe 2 Tellurides at any given time. They told me 4 to 12 weeks. Found out they have no idea just like many other dealerships similar.

I ordered a gravity grey/ grey EX with absolutely nothing extra on 11/23. VIN issued 1/31 and dealer expects on 2/17. So just under three months. This dealer is in SC and has been receiving vehicles about 10 days after the VIN is posted so it may arrive a few days early. They told me 3-4 months when I put down the deposit and it will be just a few days less than that.

I ordered SXP dark moss with dune interior with tow package from Fort Bend KIA in TX on 8/26/19 and it was delivered 2/7/20.
I would highly recommend this dealership which keep me updated month to month.

May I ask...did you pay MSRP or lower from Fort Bend? Also did you pay original price based on the time you ordered or the increased price that went into effect this year?

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
In Washington State it's about 7 months on an SX or SXP. Less than three months on everything else.

Make sure you have a order number. Many people have ordered and waited only to find out there was no order placed.
Read the same thing so got a print out of confirmation screen the dealer got upon putting in the order. I ordered at Fairfax Kia which seems pretty decent and does a lot of orders, which can be good and bad for me I guess. They're the only dealer around DC area that isn't charging the crazy "market adjustment fee", which is good because I refuse to pay thousands of dollars over MSRP.

I paid MSRP based on the original price when I ordered based on the signed purchase sheet. I had to leave a $500 refundable deposit at the time of order.

The window sticker (75107 I believe?) reflects the price at the time of order, so it looks like Kia did not pass on price increase to all orders prior to 2020 - maybe it's only unsold allocations after 1/3.

Yeah, my guy at dealership said it should be 3 months, likely more like 4 from what he is seeing. However, he also said he couldn't guarantee anything on timing b/c in a lot of ways they are in the dark like we are until a VIN gets created. So at least he was very transparent about it. That being said, seemed like that dealership does a lot of Telluride orders b/c they're only dealer around DC area I found that isn't charging like $8K over MSRP when they do get one. So hopefully that will help.

My order was allocated in late January. The exact build that I did is now listed on the VIN site and it shows a price increase. It must be if it was allocated by the increase date.

Apparently having a reference number is not enough. Ordered our SXP w/tow 16 weeks ago (tomorrow) with a $500 deposit. On Monday we received a text from a sales manager stating that we do not have an order with them. I can only surmise the order was placed in Kdealer (since a reference number was generated TX117191024J001) but it was never put in KFOS. We are devastated!

10/24/19 was order date?

Yes, and we ordered through the Costco Auto Program. Costco referred us to Parkway Family Kia as the nearest participating dealer. (I regret finding this forum a few days after placing the order or I would definitely have ordered through you!)

It’s my understanding the dealer can’t put your order into KFOS until they can match it with an allocation. But that doesn’t mean you don’t have an order. Is that true, @Jason Fox?

What's the reason on not having a order for you? Also... Don't feel bad. This is a daily occurrence. You are not alone! I know that does not make things better but lot of people going through same thing.

Correct

We were told a previous sales manager never ordered it. Getting conflicting information from our sales rep and 2 different sales managers.

Sounds like BS. Since you have the order number what are they saying about it?

You wrote in a prior post that you saw your VIN on 1/29 and were given an ETA of 2/16? Was that your vehicle? If so, that would be quick turnaround, but possible. Now they are saying that you don't have an order? Sounds like they are trying to renege in order to sell with a markup - since markups are still prevalent. They have instructions to sell to the buyer on the order - so call Kia directly and raise heck. Having an order number will help.

If that wasn't your 1/29 VIN, then it's possible your order was cancelled in the system if they weren't following directions with KFOS allocations.
