Order to delivery time

I ordered a white SX-P with tow pkg from Abeloff Kia in Stroudsburg, PA at the end of February. The order was picked up in the March KFOS period. The latest update I got was mid to late-July for delivery of a 2020 model. Although who really knows at this point.

😂😂 i know, right! Nov 25 that’a too long ago! I’m a month after you, I had a Scheduled date at may 1st but due to the pandemic it changed. Not sure when now

I ordered Nov 15th in Hurst TX. Still waiting... Was given estimated delivery date of 6/2 just before Corona
 
Yeah I ordered Jan 6th in Flowood MS. Still don't have an ETA. Had an initial estimated delivery by early April. Now it's back to crickets from the dealer. :rolleyes:

I too ordered in January. I just text my dealership to see if they have an update on allocations this month. Last month was cancelled - but assuming now that the plant is back up and running allocations will be released in KFOS this month. I hope. But seeing as how all new orders will be for the 2021 model year - it is concerning that no information is out yet on the 2021's yet. I am getting skeptical that we will see allocations this month. That - and while the plant is open again - it is operating at a lower volume than in the past - so it will take even longer to clear the backlog. @StephenCantrelle Any udate?
 
My order from mid-December of last year was allocated for build and ETA for June 4th. Just got word from my dealer that based on the shutdown and reduced production, it will be another 7 weeks added on to it. Just a ehads up that many orders may be backed up 7 weeks if you had an ETA.

Kia in Durham just called me this morning. GM said that my order had been canceled by KIA! This is crazy.....

Wow. That is not good for those of us that don't even have an ETA yet. My gut is telling me that KIA may not allow Telluride orders this month. With the volume running so low - it is going to take a while to clear the backlog...evidently about seven weeks!!! Will I see my car before September?

Yes, My original order date was Nov 25, 2019. I was called by GM in February before the Corona madness ramped up. He told me that my car was entered and accepted into KFOS and delivery ETA would be May 15th (but could be earlier). He said I would get VIN# a few weeks prior to then.

Are they trying to push you to a 2021? Or can you still get in on a 2020? What are the next steps?

They shut down for 4 weeks and one of this week was planned for some renovation. 7 weeks doesn’t make sense unless they’re not back full force.

They aren’t back full force. Only working one shift out of three.. other shifts if working are making face masks for covid-19

I get that - but according to him they cancelled. So if he gets an order back in - will it be for a 2021 or 2020. That is what I was asking. Curious what he has been told.

What if they got it and sold it for someone else for a better price! I would call kia plant and make sure that’s what really happened. I called them last week and they’re really helpful. Unless he provided you with more info!

They canceled his order, he’s not getting a 2020 anymore! Im not really sure but he said they called him this morning and said kia canceled his order. That’s why he’s asking him if they’re trying to push a 2021
