Guess I’m not a “should be” guy? Maybe you have more tolerance for BS?Huh? He should be getting his car in six days.

I'm new here, thanks in advance for patience, how do you determine your order picked up by KFOS? Did your dealer tell you, or is there a way we can check online?Ordered thru Muncie, so knew of the waitlist. Just didn’t expect the long wait between the order being picked up in KFOS in Dec and the VIN creation. Original delivery eta after Dec KFOS order was 2.22, new eta is currently 3.12. Some December orders already got their vehicles, so I’m jealous!
Only your dealer can answer that for youI'm new here, thanks in advance for patience, how do you determine your order picked up by KFOS? Did your dealer tell you, or is there a way we can check online?
Your dealer should tell you! Good luck!I'm new here, thanks in advance for patience, how do you determine your order picked up by KFOS? Did your dealer tell you, or is there a way we can check online?
My dealer emailed me and gave me the VIN and ETA the same day that it appeared in Failcat.
I'm new too. What I can tell is the Kia Rep picks up the orders from the dealerships each week. Then it goes pending at the factory (2 to 3 weeks) until its assigned a VIN. The dealer can give you the VIN. Then you can track the build via failcat.com You can also check other vehicles inbound to your dealership.I'm new here, thanks in advance for patience, how do you determine your order picked up by KFOS? @DarkMossJustin throws down a good explanation of the ordering process.I'm new too. What I can tell is the Kia Rep picks up the orders from the dealerships each week. Wondering the same thing. Let me know if you order there and find out, or if you get an answer elsewhere. We ordered there in mid-January, and still have no clear answer on when the order might go through or build started.Has anyone ordered from West Hills Kia (Bremerton WA)? Wondering what the actual order to delivery time ended up being. Thanks!
Thanks. That does help . I'm assuming there is no way to tell your dealers allocations? We placed an order on 2/25 but I'm not expecting any info until an VIN is assigned.Darkmossjustin throws down a good explanation of the ordering process.
● A deposit gets you in line to order with that Dealership.
● Then it's a waiting game in (Kdealer) until your dealer gets an allocation (only a certain amount are given by Kia to each dealership every month). [*My add on] *Generally, this occurs every month between 15th & 17th. For February 2021, due to KIA computer system hack/"issues" this did not occur, but apparently they are currently allocating early to solve the February issue (Kdealer)
● Only then is your actual order picked up by the Kia Forward Ordering System (KFOS).
● Your order now becomes reality, production happens, everything moves a lot faster and Kia will post your VIN and window sticker online, listing everything that was able to be put into your order (Not all options/accessories are available at all times, but you can order most everything else OEM from the Parts department, or go for third-party aftermarket stuff if you want WeatherTech Floorliners HP, Husky Liners, ToughPro, Tux, Smartliners, etc.)
● After the car's built, checked, tested around the test track plus all the usual inspections it then goes out for transport. When it finally comes off the truck at your dealership, you'll then get the call you've been waiting for. Take delivery that day or the next if you don't want car shoppers sniffing around your new ride or accidentally leaning on your quarter panels. Fun stuff if you're patient for that initial wait in line behind possibly many other customers before your order gets in the system.

The dealer should tell you when the order is accepted into KFOS, the VIN generation happens at the factory, wherever your order falls in production as they build same or similar Tellurides that match your order.Thanks. Go to: Track my vehicle'Hello Stephen, I believe you are able to tell us if a VIN we see on Failcat is actually the one we ordered. Today the following VIN popped up and it matches the one I ordered with the exception that it's not the Snow White. from what I have seen I don't think they are doing that color anymore so i think this might be mine but not sure. 5XYP5DHCXMG168959. My initials are ZA
I ordered from a very small dealer 12/12/2020 our order was only picked up by Kia in their allocation 1/28/2021 with an ETA late March/early April...Just to give you an idea from a small dealership. I was the 1st one with a allocation on order tooWondering the same thing. Let me know if you order there and find out, or if you get an answer elsewhere. That's a great example of finding the sweet spot. Simply ask the dealer(s) how many orders are waiting in line ahead, in this case none.I ordered from a very small dealer 12/12/2020 our order was only picked up by Kia in their allocation 1/28/2021 with an ETA late March/early April...Just to give you an idea from a small dealership.
