So are you saying that if your dealer says they have entered your order your looking at 1 to 2 months? My dealer told me last Friday they entered my order.Mine either. I have been waiting 4 months so far without a word from Muncie.

Some dealers are 4-6, 6-8, or 8-10 months from order date. They should have given you an estimate when you placed your order, again it’s only an estimate not a guarantee. So are you saying that if your dealer says they have entered your order your looking at 1 to 2 months? They def are. From what I’ve been reading you’re best bet is to put in an order from a high volume dealer or multiple if you can and make sure all deposits are refundable. And ask around at dealerships if they have something coming in that isn’t accounted for, but you might have to pay over sticker for it.Man, it sounds like order to delivery dates are getting worse instead of better. I was hoping since kia has upped there production (that's what I was told by the dealer I ordered from) that things would get better.
No. Dealer enter your order doesn’t mean much. It’s 2-3 months from when KFOS picks up your order. As an example my order was entered in august but has yet to be picked up.So are you saying that if your dealer says they have entered your order your looking at 1 to 2 months? Not at all. My order has not been picked up and was told on Saturday that it may be longer than the 6-8 months initially estimated. I placed an order in July.So are you saying that if your dealer says they have entered your order your looking at 1 to 2 months? My dealer told me last Friday they entered my order.
Interesting. I was at the Murfreesboro dealership back on 5/12, and they told me 9 months. They also insisted on $2k markup for orders, which is why I ended up not ordering with them.In Murfreesboro TN.
They have also said they would give me my deposit back since it didn’t come in the time frame. I honestly don’t want to do that but May half to.
If Failcat stats are any indication, I would not say there has been much increase in production yet. I think the reality is no one on the outside really has any clue, and Kia can't be bothered to give us any real insight into how things work in detail. How nice would it be if they kept a global queue where you could see your exact place in line across all dealers? This monthly "was my order picked up" dance with no end in sight is getting old.Man, it sounds like order to delivery dates are getting worse instead of better. But then a dealer wouldn’t have an excuse to have you come in or give you the run around and be able to charge markups. What if car buying was fully online and we got rid of dealers in general and everything was just msrp? Idk how we got into this situation where a car company gives an msrp and a dealer then decides that it may or may not be that price. If you think about it, this is one of the only things where you can get drastically different numbers for the same product.Interesting. Yea, dealers are making a killing on over charging from MSRP.But then a dealer wouldn’t have an excuse to have you come in or give you the run around and be able to charge markups. I just took a look at October 29th and they produced more than 600 cars that day. Today there were 66 vins added. Maybe because of the holidays. If failcat is any indication, I’ve noticed the VINs entered per day have dropped this month to ~150 per day vs prior months at ~430. If this reflects actual production rates then numbers dropping to almost a third of they used to be is obviously not a good sign. How could wait times not significantly increase across the board? I hope failcat is somehow just not capturing everything…
Kia sets the ETAs, not the dealership, so it's probably a matter of logistics getting your vehicle from the manufacturing facility to your dealership (not the dealership playing games with you). The logistics industry has been very volatile since Covid.ordered aug 19th first ETA was 11/13 on failcat 10/13, 2nd ETA 11/20, 3rd ETA 12/7 and then to 11/30 which is today and now they say 12/3. Not sure if Im being played by the dealer
I lucked out! Got a call from a dealer in Kentucky and said they had a 2022 telluride sx prestige with tow nightfall edition on the way. I cut the deal on the phone, including my trade drove there and did the deal (exact deal as I cut on the phone). No hassles, and I pick it up today. If your deposit is refundable, it might be worthwhile to put in an order at a high volume dealership and have the car shipped depending on where you live. I ordered mine in august and the dealer keeps pushing back the timeframe so I put in a order to see what gets filled fist. Not at all. I’ve certainly contemplated this path. Will have to do some research to find an msrp dealer that will take a refundable deposit. I'm not sure by law that a dealer can do that. I believe they will tell you that but considering the amount of time it's taking to get one I would think someone could contest them. I don't believe they would want a bad review over a deposit.I’ve certainly contemplated this path. Will have to do some research to find an msrp dealer that will take a refundable deposit. I ordered from i25 in Colorado and will have it shipped. I worked with Nicole who was amazing and clearly explained everything to me. The nice thing is that they’re very responsive and transparent unlike many of the other dealerships I’ve spoken tooI’ve certainly contemplated this path. I got a phone call from a different dealer saying they had what I was looking for, someone canceled there order and I had first Dibbs. I cut the deal on the phone, and pick it up in a couple of hours. I then called my dealer who I ordered from 2 weeks ago and was happy for me. I asked them for my deposit back and they responded that I would get a phone call from the general manager today to talk about it. I'm hesitant they will be open to send me my deposit back to me but I will push the issue if that occurs.I ordered from i25 in Colorado and will have it shipped.
