How did you get an eta? Or is that just what the dealer said before the order was placed?

Dealer originally said 4-6 months depending on when the order got picked up. I checked in every 6 weeks or so and on this last e-mail I was told my vin and the ETA. I don’t think any dealer can give an accurate ETA when you place your order, just a timeframe.

I ordered from i25 in Colorado and will have it shipped. I worked with Nicole who was amazing and clearly explained everything to me. The nice thing is that they’re very responsive and transparent unlike many of the other dealerships I’ve spoken too

Update:
On failcat 10/13/2021 ETA was 11/13 changed to 11/20 then to 12/7 then to 11/30 then to 12/3. Received a call yesterday and I was told my car is stuck in the Lourdstown OH hub waiting to be delivered to the dealer in PA. No idea how long its been there or how long it will sit there. Also, yesterday I received an email that my Sirius radio trial was active even though the car is in OH and I haven't officially purchased it yet. I asked the sales manager and he said KIA made them mark it sold instead of in dealer stock so it wouldn't effect their ability to be allocated more vehicles for December. Everyone is blaming the other on why its not delivered. The dealer says the truckers aren't delivering and KIA says it the dealer. I think KIA needs to get their delivery logistics together before making more vehicles. Very frustrating to say the least. Now I will have to fight to get my trial subscription value out of it because who knows when the vehicle will actually get here.

I wouldn’t sweat it. Logistics have been and continue to be a challenge for everyone. It’s not just a Kia thing right now.

As a truck driver, I can say calling logistics a challenge is putting it lightly. Not enough drivers, mechanics, dockworkers, office staff…please be patient.

Possible? yes as sometimes failcat misses some vins. I’ve heard of some people saying their Vin showed up much later. However, if the dealer isn’t able to provide you with a vin, I would think there’s something weird going on

Could it be that trucker shortages are impacting delivery times?

Yea, dealers are making a killing on over charging from MSRP.

yes & one dealer I went to the salesman said "it's a great time to be a Kia salesman" would not talk to me about numbers online. Never heard back from him. He didn't need my sale.

My initial ETA was today (Dec 5). Waited and waited for my VIN to show in Failcat, but with only a week to go, no VIN. Reached out the dealership and found out the ETA had changed to Dec 20. days ago I found out the ETA changed to Dec 20. A few days after I found out about the ETA change, my VIN popped up in Failcat.

I won't be surprised if your ETA has, or will be, pushed back (which is normal).

I asked for my VIN and they said they didn't have it yet. I also heard that it will pop up in failcat about 2 weeks before delivery, yet I keep hearing ppl say they have their VIN already. Now I'm nervous, I've been waiting since July. Was told it got picked up 9/15 with a eta of Jan 1st. I find it hard to believe I'll get it by then. If they push the ETA out another few months, I'll have to cancel and buy something else which is really disappointing. I can't keep driving my parents car it's been 6 mo.
The only time I hear from the dealer is when I call them. AND my orig. salesman left the company. I ordered the EX p/t in Sangria and it looks like they make a few about once a month.

No, it isn’t in failcat yet. I think it was just picked up and he text me to let me know. When I asked about an ETA he said he didn’t have one yet and would let me know when he got one. The order was put in k-dealer in October.

Normally, you will have an initial ETA within a couple of days of KFOS closing.
