Failcat isn’t 100% accurate. The dealer I ordered through had a few Telluride’s that never showed up on FC.

No you didn't, that's not physically possible. Perhaps you put a deposit down on a vehicle already incoming (and probably mostly built at that point)?

At the Arapahoe Kia, what were the terms of reserving your spot? A refundable down payment?
I reserved with MedVed Kia in WheatRidge May 22nd and have not gotten a VIN in Failcat or TellyStats. I have tried to reach out to the dealership to know my place in line on the waitlist or if accepted into KFOS yet but have had zero communication from them. Have left 2 voicemails and emailed both the salesperson I worked with and the manager.
Thinking of just switching to Arapahoe Kia since it seems based on this group they are more communicative.

I hope you have your Telluride by now! I also ordered from Medved Kia in Wheat Ridge at beginning of Oct and although my sales person has been very communicative, he never has any updates or insight on how long my wait will be. I was originally told 4 months so ETA should've been early Feb but I still haven't been picked up by KFOS. Did you end up switching to Arapahoe Kia? If not, how was the rest of your process with Medved Kia? I'm trying to put as little miles as possible on my trade-in but it's hard to when Idk when my Telly will be here!

Wow I ordered on 10/19 and still have no ETA date. What dealership you order from?

Ordered 9/28. Was supposed to be here 3 days ago, but nobody has heard anything, and not on failcat. Looks like they shut down about 10 days around Christmas and are back up and going now.

Seriously, ordered in September and my dealer has no update as of yesterday.

i ordered my first back in August and the dealer has pushed it back from nov to dec to march to may. once he told me march, i placed another order with a high volume dealer (i25) and hoping that gets picked up soon.

Yes about a month after order on-schedule as expected it was picked up. Then 6-8 weeks later we got an ETA. We also were offered a similar one that someone backed out on but we didn’t want that color. You have either incompetence or complete lack of communication somewhere. Sorry to hear of your nightmare.

I didn't know what I know now when I ordered in August. I ordered from a dealer in PA that was giving us MSRP. The estimates he gave us were complete crap. Everytime I would call, he would just tell me there is no real update and then I would have to speak to the sales manager who would give me some run around of how its a pool and kia decides what to pull and blah blah blah. needless to say, I placed another order with i25 and will cancel which ever comes second

I ordered at i25 and was given 1/28/2022 eta as welll back on Dec 8th but was told on Dec 16th the new eta is 2/18/2022. I asked about a week ago if there was a VIN yet and they didn’t have one. Been looking on Failcat and my exact order was on there once but it was the day I found out my eta so I doubt it was mine. I feel like you should have a VIN by now if your date hasn’t changed. Some other people in here who had our dates were moved back also

Placed our order for a Wolf grey, prestige, nightfall, tow Monday with i25. Yeah I am number 77 in line lol. However, we are in no rush for a new car. So we don't mind the wait, plus ... we didn't want to pay over MSRP. The dealers here in AZ are horrible, some are charging 10k above MSRP.

Reading past posts, some have their cars show up at dealer before a VIN shows up on failcat. Most show up just a week or so prior to delivery. It’s one of the last steps in mfg.

I feel bad reading some of the accounts of dealers tacking on extra charges or folks placing orders and after months of waiting they may not have a VIN yet or they don't know when they will get their cars. I was very fortunate I placed my order on 10/13/21, my salesman send me a conformation on 10/22/21 that Kia was processing my order and I took delivery on 12/8/21.

Maybe the colors and features you order have something to do with how long it takes. The Telluride is a joy to own.
