Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Based on what I have been able to find, there is one freight train that goes through West Point GA, CSX Transportation. This freight line does not service the west. I guess but do not know, that all autos out of West Point are transported on this freight line to Atlanta and then routed to appropriate locations. For us, the autos are offloaded in a small town about 100 miles east of us and are then transported via truck to town. The freight train that comes here is the Union Pacific which does not service the south. So, for Tellurides coming to Albuquerque, they are transported on at least two different trains plus a truck. We were told yesterday by the sales manager, that autos can sit at that small town for as long as 3 weeks waiting for a truck to bring them in. I think this is why the delivery time really lags.

They can see what town where the car is once it has left the plant. If they have 15k of yours they better be giving you detailed info.

I just received an email from my dealership telling me that my order that was placed on 5/10 will be delayed due to production issues with April orders. No idea now when I will receive my vehicle.
Order mine on 3/30 at a San Francisco Bay Area dealership, just/finally got the ETA of 9/17 last week but no VIN assigned yet:

The dealership gave me a false alarm earlier this month but the vehicle arrived with the dune brown interior and different accessories
. So I won’t trust it until I see the actual vehicle or at least the window sticker......

Update:
Delivery date to dealer scheduled for 7/27, arrived yesterday 7/29 with dune seats instead of the black I had requested. Even the window sticker had black interior at the top left of sticker but dune in the bottom portion. They look good and needed it for vacation road trip tomorrow 7/31 so took possession. Love it, love it, love it!
Congrats on getting your car and would love to see a pic of your color combo. Can't believe, however, with many of us waiting 16 weeks or longer for the Dune seats that KIA gives them to someone who ordered black... Is there any rhyme or reason to any of this?
It's a bit confusing because black leather/sofino color lists the interior as black, and the dune brown interior is also listed as black on window stickers, but is a line item on the additions section of the window sticker. I'm sure this has created confusion with allocations.
Agreed. No rhyme or reason. Kia rep picks the closest match to get the vehicle to the dealer ASAP and thus haven’t been matching interior color if a perfect match takes a lot longer to get.

I'm curious about as well about possible differences in order fulfillment based on trim. On July 25, we placed an order for a S trim with 8-seat package, which is an impossible configuration to find in stock with dealers as almost all S trims are built in the standard 7-seat captain's chairs configuration (My wife's non-negotiable feature is heated driver's seat for the cold Chicago winters). Wondering if there is any difference in wait times for S or EX trims, as opposed to SXP configurations! Will post updates for our order as well...
Just got an update on our AWD moss with dune and tow package. Ordered 4/19, we now have a VIN and an ETA of 9/1.
Like others I have to pester for information and my dealer seems to have a lot of turnover. The sales person was gone within weeks of our order. Then dealt with the sales manager and now a different sales manager is taking over.

I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for my EX I ordered and the dealer told me yesterday the EX is pretty rare. The most popular are the S and SXP trims. Apparently the plant is cycling through trims (which makes sense) but no clue what trim cycle they are on now. Also the orders from April have been delayed and they are just starting production on May orders. I actually had the dealer place an order for an SX for me also and I can take whichever comes first or wait for the SX. Curious to know which one will be filled first.
So I just found out today that there was a glitch in Kia's system and my order along with about a dozen others was mistakenly cancelled. My dealer didn't even know except they were pressing the Kia rep to answer questions about the status. If you ordered May 4-6 make sure your order is still in the system. I guess I'll be waiting even longer now...

I have a Dark Moss w/black nappa leather interior. Im in Canada, so its called SX Limited(which is the top trim).
I only had to put a $500 deposit down.
Ordered May 4th
Delivered on July 23.
I originally ordered a Gravity Grey Telluride but was told it could take another 6 weeks from now to come. My sales guy found a Dark Moss one first so I took it. There is no stock here in Canada either.
I love my Telluirde!!! It drives amazing and all the features are really nice. I had been drive Chrysler vans for the past decade. Driving an SUV is so much better than a minivan!

Hmmm. Did you at any point get confirmation that the order was accepted before you found out it was cancelled? As we have discussed before, you and I ordered the same vehicle on the same day.
