In everyone's experience with ordering your Telly, what's the typical timeframe from day of order, day of getting VIN and delivery? Im 3 weeks into an order and no VIN yet. thx

My wife and I order a LX fwd grey exterior and black interior on July 17 , received a email from dealership eta of delivery 09/28....

there is a white with blk leather EX coming in to wallace kia in stuart florida the 14th of this month, it has the bench seat, heated anda/c seats. I purchases one at MSRP and 2k in rebates. the general manager is Marc, tell him Max sent you.

Ordered on June 23; notified by dealer the Filled Date (accepted date I assume) was June 30; dealer contacted me last week with new eta of August 7.

Update: Got it delivered yesterday! Great driving SUV and ready to get familiar with using everything.

Great experience in Panama City, FL at Bill Byrd Kia.

It’s not Kia that’s the issue and more of a supply/demand issue. We’re all going through it together. Can’t you feel the love?

Ordered the same exact one on May 2. Hope to have it by end of Summer.

Talked to the dealer yesterday and he confirmed the Moss/Dune SX-P with AWD and tow package I ordered May 2 has been accepted and should be ready September 19. So I may have it by end of Summer, but just barely.

Our order was finally accepted today after 14 weeks. I personally went to the dealership today, after receiving very little feedback from them regarding our order for a Black SX AWD, with Expresso Interior that was placed on May 1st. I met with the New Car Sales Manager and expressed my concern about the lack of communication regarding the status of the process. And all of a sudden, he magically looks on his computer and says “we were intending to call you today because your order has been accepted, and will arrived here on September 29th”. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that it arrives by the 29th.

I ordered a SX FWD Snow White with Espresso Interior April 30. Dealer said they didn't think it was going to be filled because of Espresso. Gave up and ordered another SX FWD with Butterscotch in June. That vehicle set to be here August 8. Dealer said Monday the Espresso still shows unfulfilled. Maybe KIA ran out of the Espresso Leather and now has it?

We didn't end up making the deal and taking delivery of the Telluride for a few reasons. First, the Kia $1500 cashback is only if you finance through Kia and we planned on paying cash (our fault on this point). Second, the dealer had an $1800 "addendum" added to the Telluride that in short is extra profit even though they would not totally admit that. In that addendum they had added the HomeLink option "at no extra charge" so we were only paying around $1000 over MSRP, which they said was great because most dealers in our state are charging $3k plus over MSRP. Lastly, we are either black or white in our vehicle colors and the white in person did not give us the "have to have this" feeling. The dealer did try and back off some when they realized we were walking but by then we both had moved on to waiting until the demand on these subside and we are in control of the purchase instead of the dealer. They gave us our deposit back with no issue.

Ordered our SX-P in Gravity Grey with grey interior on May 10. Picked it up on August 3. I was expecting to wait much longer to be honest. It is a beautiful SUV that drives very smooth! Price was MSRP less 1500 incentive. Bought it at Colonial Kia in Chesterfield, VA.

Anyone know if SX trim level with Dune Brown interior are being built? All I see are SX with black or grey, but I can't seem to find any in inventories with dune brown. I hope that's just because they are purchased as fast as they are made and therefore not in any inventory listings.

The bad news is I’m about 14 weeks in with no end in sight.

The good news is my dealer gave me a new car as a loaner in the meantime.

How did you manage to get a loaner? How far in where you in when they gave you the loaner? I'm trying to turn in a lease and miles racking up. Ordered SXP 2 weeks ago.

Seems like way less dune brown are being built or just ordered less than the other options. I'm supposed to get mine in on Sept 16, 5 months after ordering it.

When I placed my order, I explained my situation and they promised a loaner as soon as I needed it. They were willing to give it to me on the spot, but I didn’t need it at the time. Picked it up a little over a month ago.
