If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

After weeks of not being able to get hold of sales, I finally got word on what happened with my Telluride order. Supposedly my SX-P AWD is coming Oct 10-15. At this point I don’t really believe them. They placed the order incorrectly the first time. If anyone is interested - Sunshine Kia in Miami is having two AWD SX in Ebony black/black coming soon. Not sure if they’re allocated orders or not.

I’m going with my husband in person to see if they can show me the order for October. Otherwise I’m about done with this dealership.

Yes, good idea to go see the order. As you know from the forum, the SX-P wasn't able to be ordered until July 25 making delivery around 3.5 months later - IF they ordered in July when ordering reopened. That puts delivery around mid-November... mid October would be quite early. Good luck...

That’s what I thought! Unless they’re giving me someone else’s order. I originally ordered in early June but I was told they didn’t place the order correctly. Then 5 minutes later they call me and tell me they have an order matching what I want coming in October. I’m skeptical at this point.

I think what you are missing is this is order to delivery time thread. Not I bought one off the lot thread. So what’s the point of posting here.....not relevant at all.

Everyone knows they can just wait for one to show up on a lot.....
Did you order from Jones Kia? If so can you give me some insight about your experience?

I just checked the KIA website, Inventory link and there's a car listed for my dealership that is exactly what I ordered. Patiently waiting on word from dealership if it is indeed mine. Fingers crossed!

Don't wait, call them. See if you can get that one.

Got our call yesterday and pick-up is on Friday. Happily surprised as we only submitted the order on August 17th. They had warned us it'd be 3-4 months so I'm guessing we lucked out with a match to production that was already allocated to the dealership.

SXL (non-Nappa) in Dark Moss w Black interior.

Update. Not mine. Back to waiting.

I read somewhere on this site it is illegal to make deposit non refundable I would look into that. I also read it takes a long time for confirmation more that 6 weeks but once you get confirmation it is a short amount of time

Thank you for the information . I will look into the deposit thing closely .

Ordered mine on July 25th SXP Black/black. Just the only order has been accepted, but hasn't been allocated or whatsoever after 8 weeks. So basically the only order has been accepted after 8 weeks. Even though it start to be being built now, I will have to wait another 5-6 weeks.

Located in WI: ordered a black EX on July 1, but haven't heard anything of significance since. According to a friend who ordered a non-Kia (GM make, I believe), he was given the vehicle's VIN within a couple weeks, even prior to production. Does anyone have insight into how Telluride's are produced? Does the VIN not get produced until the end? Do they batch produce based on colors? It seems as if regional inventory on Kia's site comes in waves of colors (two weeks ago a lot of white ones, this week there were more blue ones)... any insight or peace of mind would be appreciated :)

Everything on the internet is true, right? I found this article

Welcome! If you read back through this thread, you will find all of the answers to your questions have been previously posted. 😀 Lots of great information here, including from an employee at the Georgia plant.

I ordered April 16th, saw my order was "filled" on July 3rd, VIN assigned on Aug 15th or so, got the car Sep 3rd.
So, the VIN isn't assigned when the order is filled and my car actually came 2 weeks earlier than the expected date that was given when the VIN was assigned.
I've had the car for 2 weeks, we've put 1200 miles on it and loving it and getting tons of compliments.

Thank you! If only this forum had a way to link to one of 1,300+ specific comments within a thread...would love to read what a Kia plant employee has to say.

Can't remember exactly where the post was, but basically my understanding was the paint shop produces batches of colors. Then those bodies sit on the rack and get picked as orders come through, so the assembly line isn't just cranking out only one color at a time.
