Order to delivery time

Hi, so excited. Ordered a SX Prestige AWD in Dark Moss/Dune Nappa with tow package, interior light kit and scuff plates etc from City Kia Orlando (FL112) Nov 27th. Unlikely it will already show up, but who knows 😃 Any chance you can see if it’s already in the system? Many thx

Update: The shipping cost was a blocker for us, the cheapskate couple, so we decided to not take @StephenCantrelle's black/black SXP offer. @StephenCantrelle was really awesome though. Super kind and responsive. Feel so lucky to have him on this forum.

And.... as it turns out, my dealership is indeed trying to do right by me. They called me 10 minutes ago about a white/sand dune SXP in their lot right now and told me it'd be mine if I want. It's kinda fully loaded and has some more options than what we ordered, like premium exterior paint color, towing package, carpeted floor mat, and cargo cover, but I think we'll take it. :)

BTW, does anyone actually know how better the carpeted floor mat is than the stock one? I know what I'm getting for the towing package and the cargo cover option, but have no idea about the carpeted floor mat. And, this is probably their only telly in their lot, so I don't really have anything compare it to.
I'm dying here...that is a description of the car I want !!! The white/dune SXP

There are no carpeted floor mats that are standard.

I ordered a white EX AWD with grey interior on 9/28. I was provided a delivery date of 12/23. Salesman called today and said it would arrive on 12/21!

I'll totally be worth the wait. It's in my garage now, and it's absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are now thinking it's actually better than dark moss, which we originally ordered, even considering the additional paint cost. Hope you get yours real soon!

You must not have understood...when I said that was the car I wanted I thought you'd drive it on to my driveway, I'll have to be more clear about my expectations next time 😉 Enjoy and Congratulations on winning the lottery !

I'm so curious to see what happens and how long it takes. Just ordered our KIA Telluride on December 9th...I figure the 2021s will be out before I get mine which means I may end up never owning this one if a new one that I like is on the lot. The production times are ridiculously long. I wonder how this will impact the production of 2021.

Pretty sure they'll just start rolling on in 2021's by May/June, so if you ordered a 2020 then it'll likely be a 21. I'm planning to lease when mine comes in (though in all honesty who knows what I'll do in 4-5 months), I figure that the 21's will be out right after I get mine. If I'm buying, it's a big deal for resale down the road... leasing I don't care. That's my luck though.

2021s won't be out until the Fall - well after current orders are delivered. There won't be many (if any) changes to the 2021 model - and it could be delayed until late in the year. Even Toyota isn't out with the 2020 Highlander yet... trying to move 2019s. Kia released the 2020 Telluride early in Feb / March 2019 - but decided not to call it a 2019 model.

Did you have the chance to look into my order at my dealer? Thanks so much!
Sorry for delay. They have two on the way both Black Copper at the moment

They have two Dark Moss on the way atm but both are with Black interior.. so waiting for now

If the 2021s are coming out in May/June, then does that mean we will actually get a 2021 instead of the 2020 we ordered?

No worries! Thanks for checking! You aren’t able to see if our order was actually placed for the white with gray interior sxp are you ?
Don’t have access to that.. only when a order is filled and given an ETA.. I can see it from that point till it goes to dealer and sits till sold

I'll been following this forum for about three weeks now since I ordered - figured I would comment for myself.
I placed my order on November 29th - nice little Black Friday purchase. Was told the order was placed that day before I left.

Getting an Moss Green/Dune Interior SX Prestige AWD!

I'm kind of just lurking to see everyone's times and such and see if anyone is able to help look things up like they did for others! No VIN yet as far as I know

I live in Rockford, IL and ordered from a Dealership here - going to pay MSRP

If the 2021s are coming out in May/June, then does that mean we will actually get a 2021 instead of the 2020 we ordered?

I'm guessing they'll in all reality stop orders on 2020's at some point, and then look to take orders for 2021's. So as jw_tx21 says above, any cars ordered now will be 2020's for sure unless the dealer says they ordered it but really didn't. I would wonder if the manufacturer would give them a heads up saying to take no more new 2020 orders after X date. I would bet many dealers that folks have put money down for their cars from have more on the "list" to be ordered than actually will get allocations for 2020's, but hey I could be wrong and I'm no expert with any sort of knowledge other than what I read on here.

I am also somewhat confused if Kia had any insight into how this was going to go and what their plans are to remedy this production issue. Reason I say that is manufacturers like Chevy are already saying... we have X capacity for Corvette's in a year, and are saying they aren't taking anymore orders at this point. They know what they can handle, and are being pretty clear about it. Kia on the other hand, I'm not sure many folks know including some of the insiders on here. If they aren't going to be able to make our cars within 4-6 months, just tell us. So if anyone from Kia is watching... what is your production capacity to make these in a year, and can you fill all these open yet technically unaccepted orders in the 2020 model year? We know the reports of 340k cars produced a year in that plant, but that is likely shared w/ the Sorento and Optima as well.

Anyone received their vehicle before the ETA? I got an ETA 2/20 Black Cooper/Dune ordered 8/22 from Montrose of Sheffield (OH060). I wishing and hoping it does not take the full 6 months
