Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

I ordered in July 2019 and It is Feb 4 2020, still no vehicle.

The date was 3/2, but that their last few arrived a little early (to PA).

Dude, no bueno. I ordered in September and haven't gotten my VIN yet. Can't imagine being in your shoes. Maybe try scrubbing the list to see if there's something you could get sooner?

We ordered a sx awd from Kia of Muncie 9/19. Picked it up yesterday. The wait was totally worth it. Jason, Lucas and their whole team is the real deal. No bs, no surprises. July order and no update, may want to give Kia consumer affairs a call. Also, you may want to check the spreadsheet and see if something with your options was already delivered to your dealer. Heard a few stories from folks on here stating that there were cars that they ordered and came in, sold out from under them and never got a call.

Yeah you should definitely check the link listing all the built Tellurides and see whether your dealership is getting very many. At least arm yourself with that information (if you haven't already). Sorry to hear about your wait. That's an awfully long time.

From what I have gathered from reading the posts here, most dealers (especially smaller/mid-sized ones) are receiving a limited allocation of SX/SXPs, say 2-3, so the wait varies quite a bit from dealership to dealership. You can use the VIN spreadsheets to figure out how many they are getting per month (maybe changing with the increased production). So depending upon how many people are in line in front of you will set the wait time. Our dealership apparently won a drawing at a Kia convention in Vegas (?) for an extra 4 SXPs which we were super lucky to get an order in on. I believe they were getting 1-3 SX/SXPs a month, but they have VINs on 5 SXPs since 1/08 so the drawing thing must have not been a sales pitch . Also, I am not sure how much control they (smaller/mid-size dealerships) have on what color/interior color, so the wait may be even longer if they are trying to match your request from what they are getting allocated. The dealers on this forum can correct any inaccurate observations that I have had. We are super excited, we already have 3 road trips planned this year!

First of all, if you want some help to locate a Telluride matching your order specifications, then please post
(1) Your Order ID that you got from your dealer
(2) The desired trim / options
(3) The dealership you ordered from

A true July order should have been delivered by now. Either your dealer didn't actually order it in July, or something else is going on with that dealership. But, we can't speculate until we know a bit more. And, we can help you with the questions to ask your dealer.

Okay, so here's what I would do. That "order number" may be internal but it doesn't line up with the traditional format. Nevertheless, I wouldn't put much faith in your dealership to get that vehicle to you in any amount of time in the near future. You need to ask when they will have a KFOS allocation for an SX and can order your vehicle - if they can't do it during the Feb order period (mid Feb) then it's not going to come anytime soon. They probably never actually ordered it. They are a tiny dealership with only 3-5 Tellurides per month. The dealer code is MN007.

But, not to despair. What you should do right away is contact @aaroneast at Barnett Kia in White Bear Lake - they just had one matching your specs built for them and it's due in March 1. It may already be sold, but he posted on Jan 24 that it was available.

And filter by your desired specifications and find a unit that is not sold by calling dealers with a build (if the VIN shows up, then it's been built and is on its way to a dealership). Since it's not Prestige, it should be easier to find.

Frankly, I'd give up on your dealer and start hunting - I would have done that a long time ago. But, there is hope as dealers on this forum are getting inventory and listing it.

Thank you for the help, I will follow this further, The interior, on the Telluride you linked to another dealer, had the wrong color interior, Wife is looking for Butterscotch, prestige,sx,moss green,trailer hitch. I appreciate your time in answering.
