Order to delivery time

I ordered my SX w/ Tow AWD on 22 Feb. just talked to my dealer and he informed me that the GA plant was shut down for 3 weeks, but it is currently opened and only producing Tellurides for the next 30 days for the Feb/Mar/Apr purchasers.

I am not sure of the accuracy of this word, but that’s literally what I just got a few minutes ago

I am very lucky, I paid a deposit on Feb 22nd and had my Telluride in my driveway on March 30th. Sx P/T green moss w black interior

That means you put a deposit on a vehicle already on order in KFOS...either as an inventory or on a vehicle that someone else ordered and then backed out of. This wasn't a traditional custom order which most of us are waiting 4-8 months for.

Yeah - I noticed that. Remember - they also make Sorento's and Optima's there. So it may be just them adjusting production on those other models.

How dare they! Lol, my local dealer has like 100 each of those on their lot!

Seems my wait time is extremely longer than others. We placed our order 10/5/19 and have yet to receive an ETA. We were given a 6-8 week turnaround time and we're now at 7 months and have no idea when to expect the Telluride. In my monthly email to our sales rep, I get the same response of "nothing yet". We were going to cancel our order and look into a different vehicle but with the shelters in place in CA, we decided to wait it out. We're hopeful for a July/August delivery but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I've reached out to several dealerships in the area and all have quoted me $6,500 over MSRP for the same model/package/color (SX w/Prestige package). I reached out to Kia customer service and was told they could help track my order but that never happened. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced a wait time this long but it is extremely frustrating.

This makes me feel a little better, we ordered maybe 2 weeks before you in September and are still waiting. SXP 4wd w towing.
Edit: dealer did reach out to say the order was accepted by Kia, ETA around June, but that was around March so maybe July? Aug?

Good news the plant is up and running again and KIA is working to clear the last of the remaining 2020 orders that were accepted in KFOS. Since you have an ETA - it sounds like you will be part of that group. Can't imagine the wait you are having. I still contend KIA should focus on clearing the backlog of the SXP models as those represent the brand better than anything else they make short of the low selling Stinger and K900. Based on the TellyStats website - it looks like they are focusing on the SX AWD models which is good. Now if they would hurry up and get the 2021 information out for those of us in the next batch after you!

yes, I understand, the Lucky part, is that there was a vehicle in the pipline to my dealer that fit my exact needs including color.

What trim are you trying to get? I see that it is available on KIA's website on the SX trim.

Please don't post false info like this. Post who called, who you spoke with, etc. Dune Brown comes with SWP on SX Prestige models only. Considering that Kia has produced more than a dozen of this exact combo in the last few days (see Telluride Lookup site - you've been here long enough to know that) they are certainly producing it.

I'm pretty sure the Kia plant doesn't have a direct-to-consumer sales department.

I love that we have this Telluride Tracker, but damn it makes me hate who I placed my order with (my local Kia dealer). I really wanted to support local as my family has done business with them, but over the last week, I've watched my dealer's dealer code pop up once for a new Telluride on that site, while their sister dealership an hour away, has gotten 4 or 5. It's killing me! Alright, sorry, rant over.

Maybe it was a crank call. If you get a call from Kia tree sales, it’s a crank call for sure

I believe he was one of the people who said they called the Kia Production Plant a week or so ago to check on his order and they told him they’d call back to update him in 3-4 days, or something like that anyway.

I ordered on Nov 15th and was given ETA of 6/2 before shutdown.

Man, got my VIN # over a week ago (well it showed up on lookup site) I know my Estimated delivery is May 24th, but I just want to see it pop up on the dealer site. The wait knowing it's sitting 8 hours from my house waiting to be loaded on a truck is killing me. #FirstWorldProblems

Sx. She called back and said that was a glitch. Gave me my eta july 7th. Eta can change due to the current situation.
