I ordered mine on Dec 19th. Have been following up on the Telluride lookup app however I don’t see my Vin # I had to call and my dealer provided it to me.

I checked the Telluride lookup and I see a big gap in Vin # after 3/25.

Either way I was told I should be getting mine by end of this Month.

Based on the lookup it looks like Black Copper is the least produced color. White is the most common. Co worker ordered hers a day after mine same dealer and she got hers on Feb25th. She had ordered Gravity Grey.

Nope, COVID did not cause a big gap in VIN. Production, or creation dates, yes, but not VIN’s.

@Michelw Google Sheet pulls all VIN, and lists info on those destined for the US market, since they have a window sticker available. The ones that do not have the information available are for other markets (Canada, Middle East), or so that’s the way it was.

I believe @foresterh Telluride Lookup only lists cars with an available window sticker, as that is where the data is pulled from. So his site does not even list non-US market VIN.

Here is the problem. Just like @Idicula Samuel, my dealer says my car has been produced and is awaiting shipping. Ordered Dec 2nd, had an ETA of April 13, then was delayed by Covid. Got a screen shot from the dealer showing a Body In date of 05/05, and dealer delivery 05/24. But the VIN given is 90557, which is not on Telluride Lookup, and on @Michelw Google Sheet it shows up but has no info available and no window sticker available, indicating what should be a non-US car.

I don’t think either data source is getting complete information since the restart of the factory on 05/04.

Hi! I ordered a gravity grey SX Prestige (grey interior) on Presidents’ Day, and still have had no updates. The dealer basically said they only get a notification that the order has been received and when the VIN gets allocated to their store. I hope I get my Telly!

Did they give you the full VIN to pull the window sticker via the API? Does it work? Or just that serial number?

Does seem like something could be off with VINs? Maybe they redirected some vehicles that they were planning to ship abroad. Strange indeed.

Yeppers they did. Didn’t work via the API for me. I believe you are correct again. Strange things afoot at KMMG.

I downloaded the whole think in a spreadsheet and then sorted it by Vin # and I am seeing that the app is definitely missing VINs this is not due to shut down or international vins as I see that it runs in sequence and all of a sudden big gap now granted the factory was shut down however that does not mean Vins missing.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

I ordered my EX (with Premium Package) the day after Thanksgiving last year and received mid February. Of course, this was pre-COVID when production was at normal levels..

I was just pointing out that our two tracking methods are probably not getting all of the US production and window stickers because of actions by KMMG in the production queue. They have done it before, so nothing new. They are playing catch up in a HUGE way.

It doesn't get a window sticker/show up on the lookup site until the vehicle is finished, your estimated completion date was 5/08 in that picture. No actual completion date. Once the vehicle is completed, they generate window sticker, and telluride-lookup site will pick it up. It's just scraping window stickers basically.

I got the API with your VIN and returned a PDF with your window sticker this morning.

But, I was returning an Internal Server Error earlier, so perhaps Kia is limiting the hits to the sticker website to slow scraping. (@foresterh )

Ordered March 5th, was already scheduled for April 6, got Vin# May 7th, showed up on dealers site today, hopefully will be here next week.

St. Louis, dealer is 10 hours from factory. Mine was one already allocated to dealer that I ordered/reserved as it had basically everything we wanted and was color combo we wanted. High volume dealer also.

Thanks! The Served Error was what I was receiving since May 7th. They may have changed something today to allow the info to be seen. Who knows what secrets lurk in the dark recesses of KMMG. The Shadow knows!!!!!!!!!!!

And you ordered an EX - the waiting list on those is much much shorter than the SX with the prestige package.

I know the dealer the OP is referencing. They're large volume and fairly reputable. The factory is at least two months behind fulfilling existing SX orders. Most in transit SX's are spoken for. A quick spot check of landed or in transit inventory shows roughly 6.8% of builds are SX's. (104 out of 1539) Even doubling that still makes the SX a rare catch.

what does in transit mean... I am told the SX I ordered is in transit and current target delivery is 8/15. Verifying if that makes sense?

Got the call yesterday saying my car is here, which was super fast and awesome EXCEPT like a lot of people right now, I've been furloughed from my job. Buying a $50K car when not making any money is not smart, so I unfortunately had to pass on it which is killing me after all the waiting.

Was never given the VIN by the dealer, found that on my own using lookup site. I had no warning at all, despite a few sent emails hadn't heard from them since was given my original ETA back in March. Then just randomly got the call that my car was here. That VIN has the towing package, which I didn't order but would have taken, so maybe someone else fell through like me and they tried to pass it to me? Who knows. Fairfax Kia very good in terms of being fast apparently and they're only dealer around here not charging several thousand over MSRP, which is awesome. But communication is not their strong suit.
