Order to delivery time

I'm in the same boat with my dealer, San Jose Kia. I ordered mine Black/Copper loaded and he doesn't know anything. I send him a e-mail every month on the 14th and he tells me "still waiting." I ordered it on Jan 14th. If it doesn't come in soon, I might jump over to a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali. Bigger vehicle, more towing, 7 seater. Then I'll say, "screw you Kia".
Just like in the old gangster movies, "Nobody knows Nut'in".

Did you check on the website if your vin was created?

That is a huge price jump. What about another $30K - and you will have to wait for one of those too as they aren't on dealer lots yet. Totally different class of vehicle. I love them...but just not going to spend $80K for a family vehicle.

Looks like 2 shifts again for next week, with the following week possibly back up to three. Judging from comments from the employee FB page, they are not happy about this. They still feel like no one out there are buying cars, if they only saw this forum, lol. Taking everything out of me to tell them that this is one of the hottest cars on the market!

I joined a group for Telly owners on fb. And today found an owner who got theirs through the same dealer i was working with. She ordered a customized one on feb and got it by march. I dont know how, all i know that pissed me more.

Perhaps her desired car happened to match up to an incoming allocation? When I started looking to actually order in Feb, I could have chosen any number of incoming, but none matched the color scheme I wanted.

So no 2021s at all for your dealership? I wonder how widespread that is and if they won't be even manufacturing any 2021s until next month at the earliest....

Had to be luck - the lead time is longer than one month from build to delivery. Someone else must have custom ordered the same spec and she was lucky enough to find a dealership that had what she wanted inbound.

From what I understand - KIA isn't accepting orders in their system this month. Now we wait until July to see if KFOS opens up for Tellurides. Presuming they are trying to clear the backlog of all the orders that were changed from 2020's to 2021's. So I assume 2021 production is starting soon - but they are going to start clearing the backlog of all these converted orders before they accept new orders.

That’s what i thought already allocated. But she said she wanted butter scotch and they never saw one before until she ordered. Who knows! Im just frustrated everyone got theirs and ill have to wait probably another 6 months.

Changes could be daily for all we know. Keep in mind.... All of the part suppliers have to be running with zero issues to pull this off. Having an order show up right now is like winning The Price Is Right and having Bob Barker interview you on live TV. Come on down!!

yes, not even built yet. this is 6-10-20 And I ordered it 1-14-20....
