Order to delivery time

I have a copy of an email to my dealer from Kia with an internal vin, it was switched to 2021, is there anyway to snope on it LOL it was one they already had ordered and was supposed to arrive Friday. I really just want to verify it has all the option it is supposed to have since I have nothing else in writing. I don't want to be waiting on the wrong thing

I’m in the same boat - my dealer told me that my 2020 order had ‘disappeared’ and it was unclear whether or not they would need to re-input the order altogether for the 2021.
 
Can someone lookup the details of my Telluride that has been ordered since February? I have an Internal VIN of 7747220. Any info and details will be much appreciated. Thanks

Only can lookup when you have a Vin.. have to check through your dealer if you have Internal Number

go to this page then to dealer on top and type your dealers name or zip code then chose your dealer and see if any of the vins created matches your car’s options then that should be your vin

Can you look up the ETA on a SXP VIN 5XYP5DHCXLG094117? It popped up in the big VIN update today on a dealer 45 min away from me and the only difference between my order (no eta it's a 21) and it is the exterior color. I might jump on it. I don't NEED the updated 21 features. I wanted black, second choice was grey, 3rd choice is white. This one is white. I'm torn, but if ETA is before august I might do it. Thanks for everything you do for people on here.

Good luck, everyone I’ve called about has already had a deposit on it. I just send the dealers the vin and ask if it’s available when it arrives.

Are either of them available?" Will they wonder where the heck I got that info or is it a fairly common question for them?

I would just ask. Wouldn’t care if they ask. In case they did, I’ll tell them i see it online in one of the forms, can see the window sticker as well.

If they want your business, they won’t care where you got it from. And if they do and take offense or something, I’d be taking my business elsewhere.

I called several dealers and just said you have this VIN shipped out to you today, does it have a deposit and never been questioned. I think at this point they know pretty much anything can be found online one way or another

I had to proactively reach out to consumer affairs because my "dealer" (I wouldn't even call them that at this point) was unresponsive to my request for an update. Consumer affairs indicated that my SX-P was canceled and will roll over into a 2021 (ordered in December 2019). Consumer affairs indicated that this is probably the last week they are going to produce most models of 2020s. He is supposedly going to work with the dealer to get them an allocation immediately for any outstanding vehicles, but he can't promise anything. This whole thing is such a shit show. I think I'm just ready to leave my 1-star reviews and move on...I shouldn't have to beg people to hand them 50K.

It's all on the dealer. Dealers are independent franchises, so it's up to them to set and manage consumer expectations. They should have told you 6-8 months (sounds like a smaller dealership with not many allocations) and then you would have gotten the X5. I'm sure a BMW dealership will gladly take your $50k!

1) I was told it should deliver in April.
2) It was then pushed until May.
3) Then I was told it would deliver July 7 due to Covid delays.
4) The dealership called yesterday and told me it would now be sometime in September before I would get the vehicle and it would now be a 2021 model as they are moving production to next years models.

KIA assigned an Internal VIN for production back in February. I can't believe it is taking a domestic plant over 9 months to produce a production vehicle and deliver is now in the next model year.
This vehicle is for my daughter that really wants this. She does not want to look at other products or I would have cancelled this months ago.
I filed an official complaint with KIA Customer Service Yesterday.
Does anyone have any advise as tom how I can get some kind of resolution to this? I feel like I am stuck in a bad movie.

You're not alone. See the above post about dealerships. Production was severely hampered by Coronavirus. At least you'll get a 2021 in September!
 
Well congratulation you got lucky and I am sure it helps to know someone. You were right before the timeframe of being pushed to a 2021 model.
I ordered mine on 12/16/19 with an initial ETA of 4/20/20. They are now telling me September 2020 and the 2021 Model. Trying to find out how I dropped so far.
