    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

My dealer is otp with me now and said the order bank opens tomorrow
From the initial information received so far, it looks like you’re dealer was right.

Ordering is not open.. just the cross over 2020 with ETA’s that moved to 2021..

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
I ordered an SX-P on January 1st. Still waiting with no word and no VIN.

So I found on Failcat.com that my dealer has two VINs that match my option packages. (created on Feb 6th and Feb 10th for those of you tracking). I ordered the car on Feb 1st, 2020. How do I look up expected delivery dates? VINs are 5XYP5DHC9LG074702 and 5XYP5DHCXLG078595.

Thanks,

Roy

Those two vehicles would have been delivered and sold back in late Feb or early March as they are 20000 VINs back. The VIN is created when the car is produced - not when it's ordered. Current VINs are in the 94000s now. If you ordered in Feb, then likely you are on a waitlist at dealership... and the vehicle won't be delivered until August or September. Please check with your dealer on your order status.

Shoot. Ok thanks for the information. It's funny that you mentioned it but the day we test drove a Telluride, all the dealer had was black ext/white interior. Literally after we ordered our preferred color (green/dune brown) and were physically driving off the lot, a truck arrived carrying the exact car we just ordered. We tried to buy it then an there but the dealer was honest and said there was a hold on it.

I ordered mine on 2/15 and it was ordered by the dealer in March. My car just showed up on the lookup tool yesterday. Mine is an EX, the wait for SX seems to be much longer.

Yes, there is significant competition for many Tellurides - SXPs especially. I have the Moss / Dune - and I love it. You will too. More than likely you'll end up with a 2021, as I expect that your dealer hasn't actually ordered your vehicle yet from KIA if the dealer hasn't communicated an ETA. I'd reach out and ask your dealer when they expect to put it into KFOS - if they get the allocation in mid July or August. Once it's in the system, then it's usually built and delivered within 45 days... but many factors are at work now. Good luck.

@My Car is a 2001

Did the dealer call you yet to put in your 2021 order through?
+ @JerseySXP @StephenCantrelle @MarcinTexas

Heard from my dealer this afternoon saying they were expecting KFOS to open by EOD and would keep me updated. I didn't hear back, so guessing one of two things happened:

1. they submitted my order at the end of the day and will contact me tomorrow for the deposit
2. KFOS didn't open up and the waiting game continues

Either way, I'll circle back tomorrow with any new comms. My dealer has been mostly really good about staying in touch

Not sure if being in Canada makes any difference but we order ours in March and haven't heard anything other than to offer us a lower model (which we didn't want). We were basically told that the salesperson has been trying to get an answer out of his manager. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get this vehicle at this point.

We are in the same situation. We ordered a SXL w/Nappa mid March and haven’t heard much since. I have talked to the GM several times, he keeps saying no eta showing on his end and likely no approx. eta until it is already in transit to them. We were originally told around 3 months. I know the Canadian ordering system works a bit differently.

I ordered December 26, 2019. Still no VIN. As of the end of May, my dealer indicated the ETA was June 16. I have not yet heard back from my dealer on an updated ETA.

Just got an update - my ETA is August 6. I ordered an SXP December 26.

@Malibudude @Sokie,
to find out the status, strain the dealer and his employees. they can write a request to Kia Canada via email. Kia Canada responds within 24 hours. so you can at least find out the status of the order.

Damn. Guess if there's no vin by tomorrow looks like ours will be a 2021 as well. Thanks

Our SXP was built on 3/26 and has been sitting at the factory parking lot for 12 weeks as of today. Our 5th ETA is now 7/10. Dealership said they have no control of the delivery. They have called to try and rectify the situation but no luck. Is there some sort of trucker shortage or something we are unaware of ? This is the very first and last Kia we will ever be buying. Told our many friends that are in the market for new cars to steer clear of them as well. I knew we shoulda have went with the Explorer. May end up flipping this car anyways so we won't have to deal with these clowns anymore.
