Thanks to falicat i finally found a new vin created for MI for what im looking for. White SXPT with dune brown interior. The only thing is that it comes with nightfall package, but who cares i’m not waiting longer. Long story short i called the dealer this morning and paid a deposit!! ETA August 6th baby!!!!!!

Not really I still like the regular sx wheels! But at this point the wheels arent gonna be a deal breaker for me. Been waiting since dec 2019 with that bad experience with my dealer who forgot to put my order in! This dealer im getting the telly from now is one of the smallest in MI. They only got 11 tellys

Hello! I'm brand new to the forum. I'm going to be ordering a Gravity Grey SXP, and just wanted a little advice. I live in West Virginia, and the in-state Kia dealers are not high volume (not a highly populated area). But Cincinnati, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, DC, and Charlotte are within about 5-ish hour drive. Would I have a better chance of getting the new Telluride this year if I order from a higher volume dealer, probably in one of those areas, or does that not really matter? Also, if I order from out of state, is dealing with the state sales tax and registration a huge hassle? Thanks in advance! (I'm also starting to look back through the forum to see if I can find posts where someone may have already answered the questions).

Dealing with sales tax and registration should not be a big deal. There are many forum members, including myself, that are buying out-of-state. I live in MD and currently have an order in with a dealer in PA. The higher volume dealers will get more allocations, but they may have a longer list of people in front of you waiting on a custom order. It really depends on a few different factors.......This being said, if I were new to this forum and didn't already have an order in, I would use the failcat tool and its filters to find a configuration I was interested in going to a dealer within my reasonable driving distance. If I saw something, I would call that dealer immediately to see if the vehicle is spoken for or available. Understand that most, if not all, configurations that include the "Nightfall Edition" should be available. This option is not available to custom order yet so it is part of a dealer allocation. The failcat tool can also be used to get a sense of how many vehicles each dealership (within your comfortable driving distance) is getting on a monthly basis. You've probably already picked up on the fact that many dealers are adding premiums to MSRP. This and order to delivery time are biggest complaints you'll read about on this forum.

I'd been occasionally in touch with them about Tellurides and happened to reach out right when they got their 2021 inbound list a couple weeks ago. They had one coming in the exact config I was looking for (I did not care about Prestige because kids) and it didn't even have any other accessories beyond floor mats attached. This is actually sooner than we were ready to buy, but figured we'd just lock it down rather than playing the ordering game or keeping our fingers crossed that something like this would pop up again a few months ago.

It sounds like Halleen still has a decent number of unclaimed inbound units. Rough list:
- Gravity Gray + Gray SXP/T (@DaleD here ya go!)
- Some black nightfalls
- 1-2 Black SX AWD, 1 White SX AWD
- some lower trims we didn't get into

My sales rep was great and the best I dealt with among other area dealerships. Honest, responsive over text, no BS. Halleen prices at MSRP, takes orders, and doesn't sound like they have a backlog of orders (we didn't get too specific about this though...)

Saw that yesterday I was gonna call for it but then decided to wait after seeing like 4 sxp awd with dune brown allocated to OH. In my head I was like i’ll wait for MI allocations. And that what happened today. I found one!

Im looking at failcat and im not sure how to use this. Are all of these cars available for purchase? If not, how do you know which ones are and arent available?

You gotta call the dealer and ask. I wouldnt check vins created older than 2 weeks. Pretty sure those ones would be already sold. Oh and if it’s created in the past 3 days, the dealer might tell you no they don’t have that car so make sure to tell them to check with their manager and give them the vin number.

MSRP plus some BS environmental fee for $867.

They coat the interior/exterior, engine etc. I really don't want them to do it...but he said it's mandatory.
