Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Appointment went well. Ordered a triple black SXP (the NE wheels don't bother me). No mark ups at this dealer. He has placed 3 orders for other trims before me and I see those in failcat, so seems legit? Trying not to get excited!

Everyone here just helped me confirm my decision that I needed to leave that group as well, lol. As someone already mentioned, the group has two major themes: what color/options/etc should I order, and a series of questions that have been answered over and over and over and over (ie, how do I go about ordering, what are the new colors for 2021, etc). Question about ordering. I sent in my deposit and told my dealer what I wanted and they sent me a receipt for the deposit on tuesday. But how can I confirm that my order has been placed into the system? Ive asked for confirmation but they haven't responded in 2 days. Is there a confirmation number or order number once its in? Would they send me something?

I’ve seen a few here in Ohio, including one at the dealership, and it confirmed it as our top choice. Surprised there aren’t more of them since it’s one of the colors that doesn’t have an upcharge. It looks great - you’ll be really happy with it!
Yeah, that's always been surprising to me as well with it being one of the few colors without the upcharge.
I've been speaking to a dealer here, referred through Costco program, and they said they can't yet order SX non-nightfall. All other trims, yes. Sigh. They are hoping to call me back early next week with better news. I'm in Atlanta area, and this dealer says they will keep to MSRP so I'm probably going to just be faithful and wait... I'm late to the Telluride game so haven't been waiting as long as most.

The guys over here placed their orders today for SX. They just opened today. Btw there was an everlasting silver sx prestige with nightfall for sale in AL on fb. If you’re interested i can share it here for you. Not sure if it’a still available though
That's strange. When I got your message I just texted with the internet dealer rep, and she said she asked again today and was told no. If I wanted Nightfall, I could be ordering, but I don't care for the front grille. It bugs me more than the wheels.
I'm planning for a Gravity Grey, but thanks for mentioning it the one you saw, @Jadyas .

Has anyone dealt with Nalley Kia in Stonecrest, Ga? Just got off the phone with their sales manager and he said they have been able to order SX trims for about 3 weeks now. How true is that??
No problem. Just noticed you said non nightfall my bad! There are dealers on this thread and they confirmed ordering SX today. I would look around for other dealers as well. I just called today and my original 2020 Black Copper w/ Dune SXP w/ Tow got bumped from 8/17 to 9/12.
Was told Kia Rep came to each local dealer to go over orders, etc... was told this was the last push for customers who originally ordered 2020 MY.

It sounds like some previous orders that were entered earlier this year are starting to be made. I ordered a Gravity Gray SXP/T back in February. I still have a copy of the order sheet. My dealer is trying to transition me to a Dark Moss SXP-Nightfall Edition that they should receive in a couple weeks. Does anyone know if my original order will eventually get made? Not crazy about the Nightfall Edition and really want my original order. I keep an eye on failcat but it shows only SIX Gravity Gray's have been made with the last one created on 6/24/2020.
Mine is 9/12 as well. Ordered Dec 2020. My telly has towing package as well and looks like the push is because of towing equipment shortage.
Your order can’t be changed after submitted to kia. So if it was placed they’ll definitely get that car. I know orders placed Feb and after were canceled to be reordered whenever they reopen ordering! It depends if your order was canceled or switched to 2021.

The attached picture shows when I ordered it and I believe shows that it was in the Kia system. Mine is highlighted at the very bottom. I am guessing the ones highlighted on this sheet were cancelled and switched to a 2021YM, at least that is what I am hoping for. Just wish I could get some accurate information. Below is communications from my dealer rep:
May 8th: Kia has cancelled all Prestige orders.
May 9th: We have one more SXP still coming and it is yours. Should be here in July.
June 1st: Just kidding about the one I told you about On May 9th. It was cancelled but your order will be switched to a 2021 with a $800 price increase.
June 4th: He sent me the letter and it does look like mine will be made at some point.
June 29th: I have no clue if your original order will get made but we have a Moss SXP-NE and I can offer you that.
I am confused to say the least.

@Cavgirl - I’m in Atlanta, too, and after seeing the posts today, I called my sales guy to see if I could order, and I was told the same as you — only Nightfall Edition is available to order. This was at Ed Voyles, Chamblee. Which dealership have you been talking to? Does the Costco discount get you under MSRP?
