Order to delivery time

The GM of my Dealer called me yesterday and confirmed my order saying he is able to place it now.........so that dealer may be one of he limited ones who were given allocations. SXP w/T
 
I ordered an SXP non-nightfall yesterday. I'm not sure what info I need or how to track the order. I was just told it was entered but was not given any sort of reference numbers or anything. Any advice on what information to specifically ask for?

My Gm told me he will email me on Tuesday......i have to see when i get it
 
Few of us on here have had phone calls saying SXP allocations were approved by Kia but no screenshots or order numbers. Let's see how next week fares...

Mileage is pretty close - Philly PA (not sure where in PA you are) is a tad farther than Dallas, TX - but depending upon the route of the truck...might be a toss up. I guess it will all come down to when the order gets into the queue. Being that they are the same color trim, will be interesting to see if they are produced as part of a Gravity Gray batch.

The Telluride I ordered was unloaded from the truck Wednesday morning and after a day and a half and no phone call, I dropped by and was poking around looking at it, my salesman actually came out, recognized me so I asked him if this was my car and he said yes. (I knew it was.) So I asked what was up and he said that they weren't calling anyone until they had been inspected and the shop was backed up at the moment.

So I cruise by the next day around lunch, (Friday) and it's gone so I figure it's getting it's inspection. No call on Friday, no call on Saturday. It's common for these things to sit on the lot for a week or better before I see them disappear. I'm guessing that since these are all pre sold that they figure they're money in the bank so I'm starting to wonder if they wait until it's really slow and there's no one else around to sell another car to before they call someone in for their Telluride.

I'm not really complaining, it's just an annoyance that after people wait 5 months, they don't rush to put people in their cars. We will see when they call...

I was given the VIN for my Telluride a week ago and have been given an ETA for 8/7 (and Stephen verified the ETA) but don't see the VIN on Failcat what does that mean? At what point in the process does the VIN show up on failcat? We are just about to sell the car the Telluride will replace and I'm just a little nervous, wanting to make sure we're actually going to get the Telluride around the date they gave us.

Failcat has a very large % of the VINs being created, but some are missing for any number of reasons. If me, I would explain to my dealership and ask they check again when you get closer to selling.
 
hey! @StephenCantrelle. I just got a call from the dealership and he told me that my telluride was coming the first week in august but when i had you check it said it was coming 7/25. can you check and see if it changed? 5XYP5DHC6MG096836 THANK YOU!

Based on current production levels, is it even remotely possible to order a 2021 SX V6 AWD with Prestige (not nightfall) to have delivered by mid-October? We can extend our lease a couple of months (ends in mid-Aug), but prefer not to extend beyond that.
