Order to delivery time

Based on current production levels, is it even remotely possible to order a 2021 SX V6 AWD with Prestige (not nightfall) to have delivered by mid-October? We can extend our lease a couple of months (ends in mid-Aug), but prefer not to extend beyond that.

In exact same boat. I don't think anyone knows for sure! My dealer says the same thing but it's a fluid situation not even the manufacturer has control over. Supply chain, issues with COVID etc. can all impact production.

You'd probably be better off calling some dealers and asking them to let you know if they get a factory allocation that's similar to what you want.

Sure wish Kia operations would have waited to introduce Nightfall and instead filled back orders.

When did you place your order? Just curious

Dealer told us at the end of May they had one being allocated to them that was supposed to be there on 7/24 so we told him we'd take it. A week later we were told it was being changed to a 2021 and they weren't sure when it would be in. Last week I talked to the dealer and they said it should now be arriving by 8/7.

After all of the praise being heaped on Jason over at Muncie, IN Kia, I reached out and spoke to him and Lucas (via email). Both were SUPER responsive and great to communicate with. That being said, they told me that Kia had not opened 2021 ordering (as of last week) and to expect that an order of the SX/P with Nightfall (Gravity Gray with Black interior) would take 1 year to be delivered (at least delivered to them) and might be converted to a 2022.

I suppose that is because they have significant demand since they are selling at MSRP with COSTCO discounting.

Pretty bummed that I might have to wait another year.

P.S. I also paid the $100 to reserve a place in line to order the new 2021 Bronco. We'll see which one I can get first. haha

You are going with them and waiting the entire year? It can take a lot of work but you can get what you are looking for sooner...again all up to how much you want to put in!

I haven't committed to them yet. If anyone knows of other dealerships that might be able to deliver more quickly at or below MSRP, I would greatly appreciate a recommendation.

Jason is a good dude from my discussions with him. He was open with me and said listen man if you want this SUV soon look elsewhere. Who gives up a sale but made sure I'm happy?

I'm hoping we find the 3rd wheel here that is like the above 2 but sooner allocations and no dice.

It should be showing up soon IF the ETA has not slipped. I have an ETA of 8/21 but I suspect it may have slipped. My order includes towing and there have been VERY few/no SXP with towing VINs on failcat since 7/10.

We don't ship for free. It would be the customers expense. But we can arrange the shipping.

just called my dealer for updates and my EX-P that was converted to 2021 model with ETA of 8/27 has ETA of 9/13!! . @StephenCantrelle and the other dealers in here have yall been seen this on your end as well?
