Order to delivery time

I'm going to reply to myself here because it was explained to me that the car is a 25 group which is Prestige and Towing so the TWJ isn't listed.

So my question then becomes does TOF have anything to do with towing or is it something completely different?

TOF is towing as well.. not a extra charge just different way it reads on order sheet

I ordered my moss green SX with Prestige package on January 26. My dealer is telling me they can't get any delivery dates and are not sure if there is a parts shortage on Prestige or what the deal is. To be honest, I've almost forgotten about my car at this point.
It just seems crazy that they as a dealer can get NO information on any of the Prestige orders they have placed.
Having been off this forum for a long time, is there a point where Kia will stop making 2020s and start making 2021s?

Yeah, that is crazy! They should be able to provide you some info by now.........IF they have placed an order for you. Ask if your order has been entered in KFOS and if so for a copy of the Order Sheet showing the Request ID Number.

Kia have already started on 2021 Production and dealers are already receiving 21 models.

If you actually have an order, it has been changed to a 2021 already. They at least should have told you that.

As Alexdrums said above, they are already making 2021s. This one was built a couple of weeks ago and will be en route to your dealer - does it match your specs?

Your dealer will have more info - if they haven't ordered your vehicle then it will be a few more months. They are a small dealership, yes? It's harder for them to get allocations.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

Ordered SX AWD P/T, WHEEL LOCKS, ILLUMINATED DOOR PLATE ON FEB 1, WAS TOLD VEHICLE WOULD BE HERE 7/24, ON 7/2 TOLD VEHICLE WOULD BE HERE 8/3

On 7/8, i was told 8/21 on Black Ebony/Gray SXP+T. Then on 7/16, I was told the ETA was changed to 9/4. Just the other day (7/24), I asked Dealer GM to see if it was still 9/4 and he replies back that its now showing 8/24! This is like one of those old episodes of the Twilight Zone...

It sounds silly but at this point, I am sorta glad I haven't taken delivery of the Telly yet. I have two other vehicles and my life literally consists of going to either Publix or Lowes......But I would enjoy taking her up to the high country of North Carolina in October.

This is fabulous information. I'm going to take it to my dealer and am anxious to see their face when I have more info than they do - LOL.

They are, in fact, a small dealership, so I don't expect them to be high on the food chain, but would expect them to at least have some information to pass along to me as a customer. This whole thing seems like a covert operation...

That makes me hopeful, my SW P/T moved to 8/22 so maybe there is hope for an August delivery

Not where to post this but I was keeping an eye on the forums less this weekend - noticed a handful of users walking away from purchasing a Telluride, either due to cost, timeframe, GV80, etc...wonder if this will happen on the macro level...

I’m certain it will. You’re looking at a forum of people dedicated to the vehicle. And there’s a trend of a handful Moving on. You’ll see that outside of the forum more - people may like the vehicle but down care to play the wait game or don’t want to deal with dealer nonsense. I don’t blame them. Eventually, the craze will die down. But until then, I suspect buyers needing a vehicle will go with something else l

I'm waiting on a EX AWD P/T that was on a 2020 dealer allocation back in 04/20 with an expected delivery of "end of June" (Dealer remarks). Naturally it has been converted to a 2021 now with an expected delivery of "early October" (Dealer remarks). Failcat shows only one 2021 VIN has been issued for this configuration. My question is how does this fit in with the earlier forum discussions about "batch building"? Anyone??

This answer is all speculation but it seems to me that they are batching vehicles with onesie / twosie custom orders being thrown into the mix. Don’t know if it’s based on engine, vehicle color, on a separate assembly line, days-since-order, etc.
