Congrats!! Who’s your dealer? What state?

Sorry, I had posted it in another post.
I’m in Vermont and it is Berlin City. Wasn’t the best experience but I think given what I’ve read here, it could’ve been a lot worse!

Congrats!! Who’s your dealer? Which state?Are you sure they’re gonna install a towing package not a towing hitch? Towing package is $750 from factory and cross bars i think like $200!

We have a friend that is the assistant manager and he’s giving us his cost. I’m sure he wants to make sure I don’t come back for a VERY long time! I also think they can “do” a lot of things and because of the demand, don’t! The GM told me that I could turn around and sell this car on Friday for $5k more than what I’m paying for it. I explained that I was aware of the situation but I truly love this car and just want it without feeling like I’ve been taken advantage of.

I really didn’t want the dune interior but I think it’ll grow on me! It just felt very busy. Our current car has got to be the most uncomfortable car I’ve ever had so this is going to be a treat. Although, if I’m being honest, I have nowhere to go

The Dune is beautiful - though I'm not impartial. You'll love it. The dark headliner must look great with Nightfall too.

GUESS WHAT?!! My car (not the one I ordered but close enough) has arrived at the dealership!
When they called, I immediately went down and looked at it. Don’t judge me! I truly didn’t believe this would ever happen.
It is the 2021 SWP SX P NE with Dune interior. It’s beautiful! I have literally hated our 2017 Buick Encore for almost 3 years! I purchased the black chrome T badge and wheel package from this site, they will be changed out in the morning along with the dealership adding crossbars and tow package. Those 2 things were what was missing from our original order. They are charging me $800 for both. I don’t even care anymore, I just want it done!
Window tinting and ceramic coating scheduled for Friday!
It’s like Christmas!!!
Our original order and deposit was placed in March and according to the dealership that order has still not generated a VIN.

Congrats! Let us know how it is. I'm still waiting on mine.
Crossing my fingers that it gets delivered this week.

It looks like KIA prioritized Nightfall trim packages to hit dealerships since they are using that in their 2021 marketing campaign. Makes sense.

Can anicdotally confirm. My dealer had a NE allocated to them weeks after my VIN showed up. Guess which one hit the lot first? Hint, it wasn't mine!

Hey DruKe, it could be the Tow package delaying your delivery. That’s what I think happened in my case.

Maybe? But my understanding was that once the VIN was created, the car is complete and just needs the test drive around the track and water tight checks, load it to a vehicle and drive it to the dealership. Certainly could be wrong there though.

I thought you already have your telluride! What I know is that creating a vin number is the 1st step in making a car. Again I might be mistaken!

The problem is KIA is building Nightfall Editions and other dealer inventory mixed into the backlog of orders. So at this point - I think they are just treading water. My ETA has slipped twice since it was accepted a few weeks ago. Assuming @StephenCantrelle would let me and his other customers know if ETA's started moving forward instead of back. Right now - I keep seeing lots of people dropping orders to pick up the Nightfall Edition vehicles - so dealers are making deals and getting customers in their cars - just not making much headway on the custom orders in the pipeline.

Looked at Stephen's dealership on failcat and they have had 8 Nightfall Editions produced and VIN's created for his dealership this past month - so that is accounting for some of the production space that otherwise might have gone to folks like me that have had an order in with him since January. At least production levels are holding steady and at the highest level since the Telluride was introduced.

I have been offered Nightfalls multiple times. I do not want a "D___" Nightfall. Kia, Could we just get what we ordered please? I hope the Telluride is worth the wait. I will never forget the way Kia does business regardless of how I like the vehicle. I will never order another Kia vehicle.

My first Kia as well. It’s everything the good people of this forum say it is. Worth the wait. Hopefully the company will evolve with the times. The bar is set by Tesla. Progressive companies will follow. Kia learns fast.

Talked to the dealer today and said it’s been pushed back to 9/6 now! was hoping that I was going to be one of the lucky ones who got it couple weeks after they got their vin. I live in Oregon so maybe that’s why. Anyone have there ETA pushed back but ended up getting it sooner?

My vin showed up on 7/28 on that site and Power Kia in Salem told me current ETA update is 8/29. I want my new toy! Which dealership are you working with? Power Kia is the only dealership who wasn’t charging above MSRP. So far a very easy transaction.
