In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

I’m going into the dealer to place my order for an SXP tomorrow. Finally after a year and a half I’m pulling the trigger...

Good luck waiting for another year and half just to get the thing! LOL hopefully it won't be that long!

Heads up display.
Is that what is on the speedometer area? I thought it was just a camera/screen for when you have your signals on, are there any other features?

info from another post:
Oh, I thought that kind of information would come standard. i drove a rental camry and it had the lane driving assist info, cruise speed, etc.

Ordered the same a few weeks ago. 👍

I does have all of that. The HUD displays all of that information on the windshield in front of you so you do not have to look down at the dashboard.

Love it! I think @Tellthemride has grey leather too?

That I do. Done several trips with my 18 month old and my 2 year old niece. No problems with keeping my grey nappa clean. Can’t speak for how all kids will treat the car though. 👍

@franzcarr , I ordered on the first and they stated that it would be entered into KFOS the third week of the month...similar data to what the good people on here have already mentioned.

I assess that @Natelee53 did end up with a dealer allocation, unless for some reason they were able to enter his order ON the day he placed it. Either way, he got lucky!
Hi,

I asked if my order was in KFOS,they confirmed it was and received a VIN too. Delivery estimate Aug 26!
Did you hear anything back? I ordered an EX-P

Mine made it as well! EX-P
I don’t have a full vin or ETA yet. They said ‘next month’ I’m estimating October.

May God have mercy on your Telluride. Ha
The gray interior is really luxurious looking with the prestige imo but I couldn't. If I was the primary driver I'd get it too, but I'm not so we didn't. Had it in an older Acura and was nice.
I would've gotten grey interior if the dash weren't half grey. I think the grey lower dash and console look so cheap. A little bit darker grey would've helped. I just want grey seats.

LOL I'm sorry - I laughed out loud at this. The "Futuristic" part. GM started using HUD in top trim Pontiacs back in the early 90's...then the corvette in the late 90's early 2000's. sometime in the past ten years they finally went mainstream to lots of other brands. Honestly - I think if more people knew about them - more would upgrade to them. My 2015 Chevy SS has it. My first car with one. I had always wanted a HUD but no car in my price range offered it until I bought my SS 5 years ago. Now Mazda, Hyundai, KIA, Chevy and nearly every luxury brand offers them.

Like I have said before - most people that don't want one - have never had one. Everyone that I know that has a car with a HUD - won't buy another car without it.

For those that haven't ordered their Telluride yet - don't dismiss the HUD option. It is worth it.

@MarcinTexas , I do wish that the EX had it. It’s a bummer (for us consumers) that it’s reserved for only the luxury / comfort package of the top trim, if you will.

Yeah - I get that - but you got to give Credit for H/K even offering it. Ford has it as an option on the Escape but not the much more expensive Explorer - despite developing it for the shared platform mate Lincoln Aviator. H/K could have followed Ford's example and reserved that for the Genesis brand. They made the right move to offer it on the Telluride and Palisade.
As for the trim designation...you have to have some tech to push buyers up market. It helps make the top trim Telluride an aspirational vehicle within the brand. They needed that since the Stinger and K900 (despite being very good cars) don't sell in large numbers.

The lower trims of Telluride also have audible alerts, for blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic, etc. In case you like to wear polarized sunglasses or don’t want to focus on some tiny numbers on your windshield!

Yes - all trims of the Telluride are packed with safety features. Some of us just have that HUD! Again - I haven't met a single person that has lived with HUD that won't require it on their next vehicle. H/K was smart to push this to their non luxury brands.
