Order to delivery time

@Meaganhanna @Heshan4G63 @Bcourt29 and the rest of my i25 waitlist peeps I may have forgotten...

Amanda just called me and told me my vehicle has an ETA of 10/04. So I'm hoping those of you without ETA's yet will be getting good news soon! So stoked!
Jealous! I'm still twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the phone to ring.

I had a wonderful trip to Muncie this weekend to pick up my Black/Dune SXP NE that I had ordered late last year (I had emailed Lucas and switched to NE the week the option became available, which most likely expedited my acceptance/build). My experience at Muncie exceeded my expectations, which were already high based on everyone else's experiences. I arrived in Indy Friday night, and Lucas had arranged a ride for me into Muncie Saturday morning. Once there, I met Lucas and he took me to the garage where my car was waiting, and he let me take it for a spin before we got started on the paperwork. He told me that when I returned just to park in front - so I took it for a quick spin and pulled right into a spot in front, admiring the reflection in the dealership window as I pulled in - feeling like a million bucks, just soaking in all of the people looking at me and my new ride. "Made it Ma, Top of the World!" Then a guy walked up the window and sarcastically asked if I was lost - apparently I had pulled into the Chevy dealership next door by mistake (insert sad trombone sound). "Sorry Ma, your son is a dumbass" So I embarrassingly backed out and drove next door to the correct dealership.

Anyway, everything went very smoothly, paperwork took very little time (MSRP - Costco discount)- the people in the office were great and walked me through everything. Once that was wrapped up, Lucas and I hopped in so he could go over the features and I was on my way. The drive back to Georgia was great, I probably had a smile on my face the whole way home. Only downside was number of dead bugs on the grill, front bumper, back of the mirrors, and windshield once I got home.

Beautiful & congratulations @TheBigHouse ! Hoping to take the same trip in early Nov and drive back to GA. How was your drive back? Did you stop or drive straight through? I’m still on the fence about delivery vs fly/drive since my boy’s 1st birthday is during the same time. He is going to love his present! Ha!

Thanks, I appreciate it! The drive back was fine - I left Muncie around 2pm and made it home North of Atlanta by 10 or so, but that included stopping south of Louisville where I had lived in Elizabethtown for several years. So I spent some time driving around there looking at how much had changed since I moved 8-9 years ago. I thought about having it shipped, but I was actually looking forward to the drive home spending some time getting familiar with the car

Just saw on Facebook buy-sell-trade page that a dealer in Iowa has an SX N/T/P + lots of add on items coming in 11/30 @ MSRP. GWP/Dune. FYI for anyone interested.

I just spoke with Carlos (General Manager) at Hilltop KIa in Richmond CA. He has some SX NE available by FA factory allocation. No other information than that. He told me it was o.k. to call 510-662-0041 They have been straight forward, honest and honor MSRP. Been working with Terrance Powell (Sales) and Carlos from the beginning of May and yhey have always kept me updated. Carlos representing Hilltop Kia has written on this site. Hope this helps

I received a surprise, but most welcomed call from Hilltop Kia this afternoon saying they received ~15 SX allocations and that my order has been picked up! Initial ETA of 10/22!

Congrats! Great news.

My long journey is soon going to be over it seems.

12-30-2019 - Placed an order for a 2020 SXP - Black Copper/Dune Brown
8-11-2020 - VIN popped on Failcat
9-7-2020 - Original ETA
9-8-2020 - Delivery to Dealer
9-9-2020 - PIcking her up

The next 20 hours are going to be long and drawn-out waiting to go pick it up.

Does anyone have any idea what is happening with transportation issues? We have had a rolling ETA on our incoming (VIN showed up on failcat early August/Aug 22nd first delivery estimate date) SX-P in PA. We were just told October 10th as of now :/ Baby is due October.

2 months for transportation seems unusually long. Confident with your dealer?

Does it seem strange to anyone that there have been multiple reports of Dealers receiving larger allocations for KFOS entry in August but there is no evidence of Kia producing more vehicles. Actually the evidence points in the other direction recently. They must be carrying a considerably larger backlog of orders in KFOS than they did previously.

Definitely seems strange to me...unless Kia is about done with pushing nightfall dealer inventory out...that could open up production.

Allocations in Kdealer are based on the a number of things.
1. Number of Tellurides in FA (FACTORY ALLOCATED),IT (IN TRANSIT), DS (DEALER STOCK) so if the dealer is at its 90 days supply you wont earn as much.
2. Number of Tellurides sold. Example; if the dealer sold all its Tellurides, the kdealer earnings will be much larger.

There are a couple of dealers in our area with Tellurides in stock. (because of high mark ups). Ultimately this will hurt their allocations/earnings.

KFOS:
Same kind of rules, but according to our KIA rep. They run a report 18days before KFOS opens. So if the dealers 90days supply is "20" and theyve sold "10" as long as all "10" have been reported sold before KIA runs the KFOS earnings report, the dealer should get "10"

Kdealer orders are deleted every 30days. It up to the dealer to do the right thing and keep track of older orders and continue to place them in Kdealer.
Example: If you placed an order for a SX P on 07-07-2020 its loooong gone UNLESS the dealer is re entering the order. So my advice; just keep checking in with your dealer ...here and there...

Ask your Kia dealership what statues is it in?

FA?
IT?
PA?
ETA are moved almost on a weekly bases.
