• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The article quote says they canceled overtime production on Saturday and Sunday. Not sure if they mean they won't start back up on Monday. Or if this affects kia as well... Hope not...

I think it is other parts suppliers in China that have completely shut down their production. Sounds like Hyundai was ready to go, except for necessary parts.

"Hyundai's decision was made following factory closures in China that have led to shortages of supplies, including the complete electrical wiring system of a vehicle, the Korean automaker said."

If the epidemic continues to expand, it will ripple through the entire world's economies, affecting all sorts of industries. At some point, whether we can buy a new car in a timely manner will become a trivial concern. Very hard to predict.... could get better soon or could spiral out of control very quickly.

Prepare for the unexpected

10,000 people have died this flu season already. Troublesome that this one sees a potentially higher death rate, and we have 2 confirmed cases at a hospital about 15 miles from my house. However, I'd be more concerned about the regular flu viruses we're used to seeing.

I'm hoping that flights get a little cheaper as we're planning to do a few trips this summer to Europe.

From what I have read, doesn't affect Kia (esp. production here).
