  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I ordered a Blk/Copper SX P NFE with added interior lighting and door sill lights 12/14. When can I start tracking? What info is required? I'm assuming I got a few more months but do want to make sure it is on its way to me.

If your dealer is cooperative, ask them when their allocations will be opening up and how many people are ahead of you for the trim you want.

That is the first part of the Kia factory even actually receiving the order. After that, all you can do is wait for a VIN to be generated. The dealer will usually get this information for you and provide you with an ETA for delivery at this point. The ETA date will likely change several times and get more accurate closer to the delivery date.

You can also check failcat once a day if you compulsively need an update everyday. If a VIN shows up at the dealer you ordered at matching your order, contact your salesman to inquire if it is your order.

You can ask StephenCantrelle to track your VIN for you to get more specific details or updated ETA’s if your dealer is unresponsive.

Since you ordered a NF, it will likely be manufactured faster than a non-NF once the order allocation is placed. Happy waiting.

Yes checking Failcat daily, hourly, and by the minute is the best way for you to know that a vehicle like your order is VIN to your dealer.
Really checking once a day but you know patience is a virtue. And you ordered a rare combo to boot. My guess is May for delivery.

Thanks for the details and it will help me sleep knowing it is on order and at some point arrive.

Failcat only updates once a day. Unless I'm missing something.....

My dealer was pretty good about letting me know, first that I had a VIN and then that the car car on it's way to the dealership. One kinda funny mistake (in retrospect) is the guy thought my car had arrived and sent me pictures. As soon as I looked at the pictures I knew something was wrong! Yes, it was a Dark Moss SX but the leather was black (I had ordered Butterscotch). Apparently he thought it was my car when he saw it one the truck, but mine actually didn't arrive until a couple days later.

Well looks like we got a healthy Premie. Got call and picked up 2/12. Ordered 12/14 thru Carriage Kia of Woodstock GA, with end of March original due dates.
SX Prestige Nightfall
Black Copper
Dune Napa
Lighted door sills
Cup holder & foot well lights
Side steps
Tow Hitch

Now, do I add Borla exhaust, caliper covers, or everybody's favorite badge replacement?

I say do it all. If you have the funds, why not. And then share the journey here :)
