• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just saw this brief video comparing the 2020 and 2021 Palisade:

2020 vs 2021 Palisade

It looks like Hyundai did a bit of penny pinching in the 2021 model with some small changes between the models... flat vs chrome trim, removal of quilted door panels, and a lower quality “suede” headliner in the Limited trim. I drive a 2013 Accord right now, and Honda did similar penny pinching with the 2014 Accord. They removed a rubber mat in the center console, took out the power button to turn off the auto-dimming mirror (this would have driven me nuts), and removed an interior trunk handle.

So, I’m wondering... has anybody noticed any Kia penny pinching in the 2021 Telluride compared to the 2020 model, or were they smart and did they decide to leave well enough alone?

Yes, this is why I will never buy another Honda. I am hoping they haven’t changed the Telly much.

Part of the reason Hyundai made the changes is because they moved some of the features to the new Calligraphy trim. Limited is no longer the top trim. So these things you are saying were changed - were just moved to the new top trim. I'm sure after the huge success of the Prestige on the Telluride SX - Hyundai decided that they too wanted more than just the Limited trim to grab buyers like the Prestige trim has for KIA.

As for the 2021 KIA - they kept all the things that made it a class leader and added some things to make it better (7 pin connector, new second row arm rests, remote start on the key fob). Additionally - like Hyundai KIA added a new trim - the Nightfall Edition.

No penny pinching at KIA or Hyundai - just some trim adjustments to keep them fresh as they have been on the market for a year and a half.
