• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey there! I’m new here but I’m hoping someone can answer a question regarding a problem I am having. I just recently had some car audio work done, added a Massive Hyppo subwoofer, all new Timpano door speakers, an amp and a crossover. Since the install I cannot hear anyone who calls me. They can hear me but I cannot hear them at all.... any advice or clues as to why? They never messed with the head unit directly just connected to the speaker wires. This is very frustrating and they are stumped.

Both outgoing and incoming calls? If you answer an incoming call from your phone instead of using the steering wheel button, the audio will go to the phone headset.

Have you tested both bluetooth and USB connected phone? Tried with a different phone or both Apple and Android to confirm it isn’t isolated to your specific phone?

Thanks for the feedback! Yes it was both incoming and outgoing calls. They could hear me, I could not hear anything. It ended up being the speaker wire tap, they ended up running the wires a different way they tapped from the back when they should have tapped from the front being that the phone only runs through the front speakers. All was fixed! Took about 2 hours to finally figure it out. We ended up with another issue ended up being the remote wire wired to the internal fuse panel kept shutting the system off when the car would come back on after being cut off from auto start stop. When they wired it to another fuse, NO windows would go up or down and the doors would not lock or unlock. There is a reason I named the car Christine.... so I am stuck with keeping auto start stop off until another time when I can get back in there for them to rerun some more wires. Needless to say it was their first Telluride, and it might the be last they try to do LOL!

As cars get more advanced with onboard systems, it is only going to get harder for audio shops to know how to navigate around the inordinate amount of wires.
