• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Does anyone else find the 20 inch Pirellis to be really noisy? We have about 20000 miles and the noise from what I think is the tires is getting pretty bad. I did a search of the Forum and didn't find anyone complaining of noise from these tires. The reason I ask is because I am starting to wonder if possibly it's not the tires but maybe a wheel bearing, but it doesn't exhibit any change in sound when turning like bad wheel bearings usually do.

Are you talking about a harmonic hum that is intermittent? I feel like I may have experienced this the other day on certain roads.

No, it's not intermittent, it does it all the time no matter the road.

I do notice that new tires are noisier than tires with 500-1,000 miles on them.

well I just rotated my tires, didn't hear or feel anything unusual as far as wheel bearings go. However I am embarrassed to say that all four tires were at 40 psi, I obviously havent checked them since we got the vehicle, but I did have the dealer rotate the tires once before, I would have thought they would have checked the pressures. They all had some cupping on the inside edge, which is odd, I would think overinflation would cause more wear on the middle of the tire. But anyhow, I'm sure that is what is causing my noise...maybe now that they are inflated correctly they will even out.

I have the same issue it’s at 12,000 miles it’s caused by defective rear shock assembly , it’s a known issue . , the tires are cupping and will just get worse .

Ya we are at 28500 miles and the noise is just terrible. It makes this Telluride feel like a piece of crap. I hate driving it. Luckily it is my wifes vehicle and she doesn't care. We just had an inspection and it is definitely the tires, they said they were barely passable because of the cupping. I'm just worried that when we get new tires it is going to do the same thing.

I had the drive shaft replaced at 6,000 miles , look online there is a Kia service bulletin that tells you it’s the rear shock assembly’s I pretty sure this what did it to mind , two dealerships said it’s a known issue , although they won’t cover the tires , I have been in a battle for a month over this , on top of it they tell me they have had nothing but trouble with those tires on all Kia’s . We kept hearing a pop in the passenger rear , took it in and both shocks are bad and shock mounts . At 12,000 miles .

YES they are VERY

Yes they are very loud i bought this tire for jeep grand cherokee 265/50 R20 and noise is as if you were sitting on a plane

Me too on my 24 Telluride 20 in Pirelli Scorpion tires at 5000 miles. Especially on the freeway where there are rain grooves or any road that isn't very smooth. Thinking is could also be shock absorber issue.

I find these tires to be very noisy, they are on my Nautilus with less than 3000 miles. I really hate them.
I put new Bridgestones 422 on my rogue and drive on the same section of highway with no noise.
