• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a new 2024 and wanted to know how to clean and treat the plastic to prevent fading. Any input appreciated.

CERAKOTE® Ceramic Trim Coat Kit - Quick Plastic Trim Restorer

I just bought and used Griot's Ceramic Trim Restorer. My wife's 4 year old Lexus had both some discoloration and fading on some of the black plastic behind the rear wheels and next to the windshield. This product worked great. It is supposed to last about 6 months. My Telluride is new, so no need to restore anything, but I applied this as a trim protectant. I live about 25 minutes from Griot's Garage HQ and store and run up there frequently for the car shows in the parking lot. Whenever I have a question on how to do something or what product to use, they'll walk with me out to my car, look at the are in question and then tell me how to do it. It usually turns out that I already have everything that I need, so many times I walk away with guidance, but don't end up buying anything.
