• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Plastidip

Will have to try this because I did plastidip and then car wash and it just peeled off. I called them and they told me that once you dip, you cannot use car washes anymore...not possible for me!
I used Plasti dip on my Chevy Avalanche lettering. I go through the carwash once a week and it does not peel off. I used 5 coats of Plasti dip matte black and then followed up with 5 coats of glossifier

Knowing what kind of car washes would be helpful to know. Are we talking spinning brushes or high pressure touchless, or...?

I think if you do the correct amount of coats 7-8 and you let the dip cure on the vehicle for a couple weeks, you are fine. This is what Fonzie on Dip your Car says at least.

What about the chrome trim around the windows? Who's Dipping and who's wrapping?

I haven’t done it because I began to like the chrome accent after I blacked everything else out. The plan was to wrap it tho. Got a good quote for around $500 to do the trim. I don’t think plastidip will hold up well on the trim
