• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looking to do paint protection film (PPF) on the new Telly. Any recommendations on places, type and coverage? Thank you

Thanks. Did you do ceramic in the interior too? Wheels? Seats?

These guys worked mostly with dealers and do very few direct to consumer. They recommended an OTC product for windows and wheels. Didn't think to do anything to inside and I am not sure they even do that. We did do a partial chrome delete with a different vendor and you have to do that prior to any ceramic.

Thanks mjeffv. I am researching a few places based on the Xpel locate dealer search. Sun and Shield was on the list. I'm also talking to ap3 and atlanta protective films.

There's so much info all over YouTube and the internet! This is quite overwhelming. I'm certain about getting PPF for the full front to protect from paint chips and nicks. Ceramic for exterior seems a bit pricey for my liking. The ceramic coating seems like an excellent protector but I'm hesitant for a family hauler. This is helpful. Appreciate the info.

I found meeting with them in person to be helpful. Wife and I just got a vibe based on how they explained things vs just trying to go fast. We met with 3 guys and chose Sun and Shield. For us, the ceramic was more to do with our color. The Black Copper spots a lot and was driving us crazy wiping them off. We dont have time to wash frequently and the ceramic seems to help -- although not perfect by any means. With ceramic though, no automated car washes. We did partial hood as Mike said the angle of the hood minimized the risk of rocks and we had already invested a lot with the chrome delete, PPF and ceramic. Here is a pic if interested.

Makes sense. Might have to call next week. Are you able to see the line on the hood for the partial?

Yes you can see it but only if you are looking for it and within 5 feet of the car. You can not see it while driving.
