• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Rattling Noise from rear passenger area

Our 21 SX with tow package started having this rattle after we used the tow hitch for the first time (loaded tray in the hitch for 1300 miles )

I had the shock fix done last month and so far mine has been quiet. Not perfect but way better. They only did the passenger rear, may go back and have them do the drivers side.

Sweet. Thank you!

So our 2021 Telluride SX with towing package has a rattle in the rear suspension, its manufacture date is 12/3/2020. Had Central Kia of Plano apply TSB-113 fix, but the rattle is still in the rear end.

So I am wondering, Bad shocks? Bad service department? Anyone have TSB-113 (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10206640-0001.pdf) applied and still have the rattle and then got it fixed, please elaborate.

My sound is back. Seemed quiet for about a month after the fix? Haven’t looked up to see if the plastic parts they put in are busted up or even still there hopefully get a chance next few days.

I have a 2021 S without a hitch and I have a rattle from the rear as well. Last winter I adjusted the rubber trunk stops and that helped a little but the rattle is still there, much more noticeable in colder weather.

We just purchased a used 2020 and we have this same "clunking" noise out of that same corner- it is not consistent and I cannot recreate it - sounds like it is within the rear quarter panel - like there is something within the storage area that is bouncing but the jack is on the other side - anyone find a solution - for some reason this noise is driving me batty - thanks for any help.

At 20k miles Kia Reno replaced our rear shocks due to this rattling. We’re now at 41k miles and it’s doing it again. Sitting back at their shop having them looked at hopefully replaced under warranty again.

You're probably looking at the shock dampers before new shocks again. They put out a TSB and recommended repair since you had your shocks done. My replacement shocks are making noise again as well. Going in Monday...

Vibration & Shaking of the car at high speeds (when on cruise control). It doesn't seem to be the tires as I have taken it is a few times.

My Telly has a sound going over bumps as well, definitely coming from trunk area. I have tried but failed to recreate the sound while park, with trunk open or closed. To my ears it sounds less metallic and more like a plastic-on-plastic rubbing. I too tried removing a license plate frame but that did nothing, and I think I have ruled out the actual license plate. It also sounds more like it is an interior sound, not something to do with an exhaust mount outside the vehicle.
We have had this as well. A year or two ago we had Kia look at rear shocks...they replaced them, but now it is doing it again.
