• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was rear-ended by a man who was “test driving” a vehicle owned by a dealership. The man provided me his insurance information, was issued a traffic citation, and he has been identified as the at-fault party. I have now found out that this man owns the dealership. His personal insurance company is giving me the run around and will not provide a rental car so I can begin repairs on my vehicle.

NIGHT. MARE.

Ughhh. Damn the luck. So sorry.

If it will make you feel any better I bought a Kia Rio for my son last week. He destroyed the passenger side of the car with 21 miles on the odometer. He literally had the thing for 8 minutes before he destroyed it.

You just have roll with the punches. Sometimes life hands you lemons 🍋 and other times it throws the lemons at you until you surrender.🤕

Dude...sorry to hear what happened to your new ride. Hope it gets all settled and fix soon.

On a separate note, how long do they give you for temp tags?

If it goes on your insurance, be sure to claim diminished value as a result of the accident. I find that dealership owners will be kind of shady and play hard ball when they are at fault on something (or when trying to sell a car) - good idea to retain your attorney and let the insurance companies fight it out. At least it's still able to be driven, but that will still be an expensive repair. I once had my vehicle stolen from a car dealership while it was in for service... let's just say the dealership owner was less than forthcoming with an offer to fix everything - ultimately he did - but it took a lot of energy. Sorry for the ordeal.
