• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a black SX on order and with 3 little kids the wife wants a DVD player for our frequent road trips. We have a Yukon now and the wife is pretty upset with me that I didn't tell her that a DVD player wasn't an option with the Telluride. She does not want temporary mounts for tablets etc.... I know it's not feasible to mount an overhead monitor due to the moon roofs, but does anyone know if Kia does (or will) offer rear headrest DVD monitors for the Telluride? I know the Sedona has it...but wasn't sure if they can be fitted in a Telluride.

No option officially from KIA but honestly there are better and more cost effective options after market.

You can get tablet holders that mount behind the headrest for $20-30. Get amazon fire tablets with 10 inch screen for a little over $100 for each kid. Get a myfi box with unlimited data from Verizon or other cell provider. Then get amazon prime. Now you will have unlimited free kids movie and tv show. You will also have games for the kiddos.

2nd that. This is a much cheaper option than an aftermarket or dealer installed DVD player which will be thousands. Plus with the tablets you can download content for Netflix and Amazon Prime for offline viewing while you are on WiFi. The headrest mounts that Kia offers don’t look too bad. Your wife needs to enter the next century... the Telluride already has!!!

My kids already have Fire HD's with all the goodies on them. My wife doesn't want that solution...trust me i've tried :censored:. She wants to be able to pop in a DVD and go.

Probably best to cancel your order and stick with the Yukon if that will keep your better half happy. 😞

She went and drove an 78k Expedition yesterday and it looks like that might be the alternative. Ugggh!

I’m sure it’s nice but a $40k premium just so you can have rear seat DVD player seems CRAZY! Just think of what you can do with the extra cash ... $40k will go a long way to start a college fund for your little ones.

Trust me I know. She just has a couple must haves 1) black (check), 2) black rims (check) and rear seat DVD. Her quote to me was "You have to have a big engine in your car...well I have to have a DVD player". That is why I wouldn't mind paying 1500-2000k for a DVD player as it would save me 30k+ in the end. I just need to have a solution in place so she doesn't scream at me when she finds out I already have an deposit down for my next car in December.

Wow! Try checking local stereo places. Maybe they have some custom options. Checking on Amazon there are several add on devices

The Telluride has both 12v DC and 120v AC power in the 2nd row

Thanks! I've looked around on Amazon and it's tough to find monitors like that with a reviews to read. I do love that the Telluride has the usb ports in the seat backs as well. I used that to sell my wife on the tablet idea ;)

Fingers crossed I can sell the solution to the boss.

For $40k you can take your whip to one of those celeb car shops aka west coast customs, they will be happy to take your money for 4 screens. And you can get on TV.

Found one at Walmart for you that might fit the bill for $142 (plus installation). If your interior is black you’ll probably get a perfect match! Heck, I might get it myself!

CORRECTION: looks like it’s only the master unit, you’ll need to purchase a monitor separately.

Could always replace your wife with a couple of tablets and a wifi enabled hard drive? :)

LOL my "kid" is 51.... ;)… so, no issues with him or the "Boss" on this issue.

For $140 I got a 10” naviskauto CH1003S. Installed in minutes. And has an HDMI port to display a gaming system. Plus when my kids out grow them it uninstalled in minutes. 4,000 miles so far and it was a far better return on investment than OEM system or aftermarket fixed install.

I have seen official headrest tablet holders for the Telluride online at kiastuff.com. Though about getting 2 to go behind the 2 front seats for the kiddos1010
