• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We have a 2020 Telluride that rolled down our driveway, dragging our daughter along the way. Kia claims it was operator error (even though there is a recall for this). Can anyone recommend an independent company/person that can grab the EDR data to verify that the car was in park? Video of incident was caught on our security cam: on YouTube type watch?v=fN03SvKBp9A

Thanks!

Have you owned the vehicle since new?

How come you never had the recall done?
Event occurred Feb of 2022 before there was a recall. Kia claimed it wasn't in park, but if you watch the video, she put it in park and got out to see if she had enough clearance to avoid hitting the Mustang. Once the recall came out, we began questioning if Kia was being truthful.

Don't even think of tackling this alone! Aside from the PowerSports industry, Auto manufacturers have some of the very best attorney's around. They get on the wrong end of wrongful death and injury suits ALL THE TIME.

I've been to the special shop that VoA (Volkswagen of America) has for testing cars and building up a defense against liability suits. They (the manufacturers) are very good and skilled at defending themselves.

Steve Lehto was once a big player in the lemon law arena (Michigan) for decades. Now I think he does more YouTube than anything else.
Albeit it's quite likely he could make a recommendation for an attorney in your state?
I would reach out to his office via phone AND email.

GOOD LUCK.
