• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So today I used my app to use the engine start. I noticed I had a notification for a safety recall. Has anyone else gotten the same notification?Screenshot_20190818-163405_Kia_Access.webp

Yeah, I’ve got the same in my app.

I hope it's the 1st and last recall notification we get. I will be very disappointed if I do get another notification.

I'm sure there will be more... this looks like an oversight during manufacturing, but not all VINs are affected equally.

I posted a thread about this yesterday as well. A number of people have already taken it to the dealer for inspection and only a small handful had the incorrect seatbelts. Essentially, they put the seat belts intended for the Gulf region in some US tellurides.

While I also hope there aren’t anymore, recalls aren’t abnormal, especially for a first model year vehicle. For perspective, I believe the Atlas had 8 recalls in the first year. I know the new explorer also had one the first month after release.

Got the same... anyway to know if it affects your car without trying to track down an actual person at the service center?

Expect 6-10 in the first 5 yrs of ownership. All car brands are like that. Comes with the territory. Would you rather a brand that denied problems until legally compelled to recall? Go by American for that nonsense.

Part of the reason I went with a Telluride over a used Explorer, that emissions cabin leak on the V6 models is going to be Ford's new Firestone scandal...

I can attest to this, we had an explorer (since sold for the telly) that would reek of fuel when you would accelerate on the freeway, etc. so glad we got rid of it.
