If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Replaced reverse lights!

Just got done doing the reverse and backups. Why? I don't know I'm a sucker for group pressure and like tasks. :pI purchased Sylvania bulbs from the Autostore. Probably paid a little more but I have had mixed luck with Amazon brands before just not lasting. The reverse light wasn't an issue. They don't give you much room to work with and the Sylvania bulbs have a direction they are placed. Plugged in the wrong way to wont work. Just test before reassembly. There also is a right and left assembly for the cover lens. They wont go in if reversed. For the back ups, getting the handle off was trickier than I thought. When you pull down the cover, its hard not to have all the clips not come undone. When this happens, it tips down and a cable in the top passenger's side slides up to block it going back as it was originally. If you notice all the clips are sitting below the holes, this is the problem. You also need to put the whole cover back at the same time. I was trying to visualize the clips going into the ones in the center but the process of pushing it down to see it distorts it and miss-aligns. You can see a few around the periphery and align these. Once together you can push in the center and hope to hear it set.
Hi, could you possible reply with the model number of the bulbs you purchased? I hate how the backup camera looks at night and this is exactly what I want to do. Thanks!

These are the backup bulbs I just installed and many others have as well.

I actually purchased the entire kit from Lasfit on a Black Friday sale ($90 for the headlights, backup lights, and license plate lights....I think they're more like $110 regularly).

I ordered these .
I'll try tonight to take some pics 👍.
But my vehicle was awesome the SX prestige showed my brake lights are LED and air brightness well as well but I will do my best to show you a photo .

Here's what I ordered from Lasfit. Both easy installs (once you get the back panel off for the reverse lights). Screen Shot 2021-12-30 at 10.10.08 AM.webp

ZEVO LED

I used these. More expensive but have a lifetime warranty if that means anything. Since they are sold at most US retailers I'm hoping they last. I've had some poor performance with nameless Amazon brand "X" bulbs

Instead of grab and twist to remove the handle cover There is a notch you can use a flat screw driver to pry off. Much easier for me.

I ordered some of the Sylvania Zevo LEDs based on some posts here, but what I got was different than the original picture. (see pictures). Looking at it, I didn't think it would provide enough light, and sure enough, the Sylvania website does not list reverse lights as one of the ideal usage options. Just an FYI for anyone doing the same research. This is a 6000K WHITE LED bulb – Ideal for interior lighting – map, dome, trunk, cargo and license plate

I had the Auxito lights but returned them because I thought Sylanvia might have better long-term reliability, and also because I could see the 2 bulbs through the packaging and there were different numbers printed on each one. The packaging was new, and the lights looked exactly the same other than the numbers, which was weird.

The Diode Dynamics are expensive (compared to every other brand) to get the brightest ones -XPR (720 lumens) - and don't seem to have very many reviews.

Lasfit has some discussions around whether they actually work with the 2022 model. Looking at their site, it doesn't include reverse bulbs for the 2022 Telluride. For comparison, there were reverse bulb options for 2020 and 2021. Could be the site is not up to date, or they just don't fit for some reason.

I don't want to get something cheap and have to re-do this later. Currently looking at the Headlight Revolution reverse bulbs, but hesitating on pulling the trigger due to price.

I used the Sylvania Zevo 194 for the license plate bulb upgrade and that turned out really nice

So yes, mine were the ones shaped like globes that I installed on the reverse lights. I just went to the autoparts store and picked them up so there was no confusion. Seems like there has been a change since then.

I actually got them based on your suggestion in previous posts. I was surprised when the order came in and they looked different. I don't believe those 2 little lights on the new style could effectively function as reverse lights, so I'm getting something else. License plate lights are great though!

Quick question. Would someone please look at their rear hatch panel from the inside and take a picture from the inside trim. I just had the interior hatch plastic trim replaced under warranty because it was warped a little had a minor gap that bothered me in the middle. Is it normal for there to be a gap in the middle? Between the glass and plastic trim. Even after replacing it I am not convinced this is the way it should be. My mistake not checking it when I picked up the car. Was in a rush to do some errands. I will post some pictures tomorrow morning during the day. Sorry for asking this question here as I searched and found this thread to be the most informative since it shows pictures of the rear but not enough in the center where I am curious about.

There is probably a clip not popped in correctly. When I took mine off to replace the reverse lights, I had one I didn't put back on the side and noticed it the next time I washed and dried the rear door. As long as it's lined up, a couple gentle, but firm bumps with your closed fist should do it. Not a punch, but hit it with the pinky side and fleshy part of your hand.

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it. I just couldn’t accept that the dealer was telling me that is was normal. I’m going to try and fix it myself this weekend. I’ll post a picture of how it looks at the moment and an after picture as well to show the difference. 👍🏽

Okay update didn’t feel like messing with it as paperwork from dealership said it was under warranty for a year or 12,000 miles whatever comes first. Ended in dropping off the car for a check engine light issue and told them if they could check one of their tellurides on the lot and compare the rear trunk trim on mine so they could see the issue. Which they noticed right away. It’s now been fixed.
