• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Running Board Removal?

I’m a non car person, and I didn’t remove any panels to put on the side rails, so I can’t speak to the difficulty of putting the panels back on. Sorry! Hopefully someone else can help you with that. 😊
Oh the panels just snap back in, its the board removal I'm worried about lol. I don't think I can get under there and take the nuts off etc....but the quotes are ridiculous for someone to do it (manual from kia is pretty straightforward, they are like oh its going to be 1-2 hours haha!)

My running boards have been on backorder since July. After reading these comments, I'm questioning wether or not I should add them.
Especially since I have the Copper Black, SX NightFall and I don't think the brushed silver/black side steps would look right. Should I cancel the order while I still have the chance?

We put the OEM boards on at the dealership, the one with silver edge and says Telluride on the board.
My wife is 5'4" and wants them off. She keeps hitting her ankle stepping into the vehicle.

I’m planning on removing my 2021 Telluride factory running boards. I like look of them but they get in the way when getting in and out. Just a personal preference. I have found that I need to install lower rocker moldings. The part numbers that I found are:
87751-S9000
87752-S9000
For the left and right side.

My question is, do these part numbers come with the required mounting clips? I think there are 16 clips per molding, per side.

Can anyone give me advice on going to a dealer to remove the boards or some other type of shop. I’m very handy but every time I work with a part that clips in, I break the clips or it doesn’t feel solid.

I live near Los Angeles and would be interested in selling the removed running boards and the mounting hardware once I get them off.
